Psuseela-nyayama?

Couple of weeks back PSuseela gave an interview to oli 96.8(Spore radios tamil cahnnel),The interviewer was Meenakshi Sabapathi,one of the best in Oli 96.8.
Interview aarambathilirindhe Psuseela sonna varthaigal'eankku tamizh seriya theriyadhu,enakku tamizh pesa varaadhu'. Meenakshi did her best to divert the interview but kili pillai madhiri PS
was reiterating the same words. This has hurt many of her ardent fans.Many rasigargal had called oli
in the past 2 weeks to report their disappointment
'tamizh naatiliye vazhndhu,tamizhile 40 varushama paadi tamizh varalengaranga appidinna edhukku tamizhile paadanum'
'avangalukkaga neenga aen Meenakshi samaalikkireenga'

It could be true that PS cannot speak in tamizh,if so then why did she accept for the interview?Was she thinking that the interview is going to be in telugu or english??
'tamizhukku amudhendra per'endu paadiya paadagikku tamizhe theriyaadhendru Bharathidaasanukku therindhaal...:paavam migavum varutha pattirpaar.

  I'm quite surprised that she claims not to know Tamil. Even someone like Kushbu, who came to act without any knowledge of Tamil, graduated first to mazhalai Tamizh and then to pretty decent speaking Tamizh. And PS has been singing in Tamil for 40 years??

  i heard the Interview in Oli. I feel that PS felt shy to be on the air OR she had not prepared on what to talk in the interview. About accepting the interview, it was not interview with PS alone. Abdul Hameed was with the artists and Meenakshi was asking questions over phone to many including Sowkar, singer Krishnaraj. From the questions and anwsers, I understood I understand that there was no preparation from both sides.
  
  But, I was disappointed from PS's Tamil. Is she the melody queen who pronounces tamil so precisely in her songs?

  I am pretty surprised that she said that. There used to be a program in DD about MSV called Thiraiyum Isaiyum. She came in on one of the programs and spoke good Tamil.

  I cannot believe PS cannot talk tamil well, the way she has sung for so many years with very little if not any flaws, living in Madras for so many years, maybe she didnt want to make mistakes (give her a rope after all she is PS who has provided us with great songs) reminds me of a story I have heard, dont know if it is true, Venkataraghavan ( now umpiring matches ) once made some similar statement of not knowing tamil and got a good smattering of eggs at chepauk, booed out of the ground - before eating his words, anyone knows of this story?

  an accent; that I know. Even with all that see
  how accurately she sings in Tamil... in that case, imagine
  the amount of practice, effort and dedication
  that she must be putting in the singing of Tamil

  PS is one of the most polite persons in TFM. I
  don't think she took any pleasure by repeating that
  she doesn't know Tamil well. She probably did
  that since she felt bad about her accent and
  inability to speak well.
  
  As an actress, Kushbu had to gain a lot by learning
  Tamil because she had to interact with the media

  She is very 'shy' lady. DD-la 2 or 3 times parthirukkEn. adhigama avanga pesinathilla. MGR-kku condolence speech kuda short-athan pesinanga. adhukuda 'N-alla thamizh' endru solla mudiyadhu.
  
  About Kushbu.. if you watched/listened her interview she mostly used English. She has to learn Thamizh, otherwise she will be in deep trouble. She has to move with from light man to director of the film. Many of them don't know English. Suseela's case is not like that. She can manage.

  P S.
  The same P.S gave interview in Tamil in Radio Heart FM 100.3 of Singapore about 6 to eight months back. Its very difficult understand the Cine people.
  
  Any way I think we give too much importance( which is not needed) to these people.

  P.Susheela is a very shy lady whom I have
  heard speaking very good tamil(maybe she prepared for that interview in DD) as well as very "KOCHAI"
  tamil which was a clear indication that she cannot
  speak decent tamil if not very good tamil, without any preparation before hand. I agree she has to speak good tamil having been in the tamil film industry for so many years but the fact is these people normally write the tamil songs in their mother language in bold letters and sing them after multiple practices. SJ,PS,Chitra etc all these singers write the tamil songs in their mother languages(telgu and malyalam) and Vanijayaram is the only singer who speaks very good tamil and answers any questions in interviews spontaneously. Basically vani is a tamilian, but singers like Psusheela and Janaki speak only kochai tamil most times. Like I heard susheela answering nicely but with her little telugu accent to Gangai amaran in a light music concert at Music Academy couple of years back. I can give few examples:
  Amma Ungalukku piditha padakar yar?
  Neenga enna ethirparkiringonnu theriym,sathyama
  neenga illai amaran(p.susheela)
  Amma neenga ethanai padalgal padiyullergal?
  Enku theryathu. Nanga neriyaa panniyachhu ; Kasukka illey;Aanal,rathri 3 mani , 4 mani enru 1 song record panna neriya time edthu romba ulaichirikken.
  Amma Nama enna pattu padalam?
  Nama nerya palaiya pudia pattelam kalandu padalam
  pormiya (porumiyaga) padalam
  These examples are to just indicate that she is very shy lady and she is very dedicated singer who believes in preparation before committing anything.
  So Let us forgive the poor GREAT SINGER. Like vairamuthu praised her in one of his interviews saying "P.Susheel oru pattu padinal, antha padal thalai seevi poo mudithu pottu vaithu alankaram panni kolgirathu. P.Susheela padum ovvoru padalukkum intha perumai undu" She is not a lyricist who writes songs but she is a singer who has done a great job as for as singing is concered, so Guys! Susheela is not a politician or speaker.

  Sriram L, karthi is just obssessed with PS, and justifiably so.. and hes really thrilled when people say nice things about PS.
  
  Its really amazing to see how a non-tamil speaking person like PA can sing tamil songs so well with "akshara-suttham' and great pronounciation! It doesnt matter if she doesnt give good interviews or doesnt speak tamil well then. Lets try and appreciate her as a singer, not as an individual!!
