  It is very good that many of them are talking about Baba although it is a good or bad. You all doing free marketing for our Superstar's Baba.

  I find the songs of BABA are good. As a fan of ARR and Rajni, I can easily rate the songs 4.5 out of 5. But I dont understand WHYYYYY many pple rate the songs very low... Probably they need to listen the songs a few times.... then you may like them...

  BABA music is a just a crap when compared to all the 150 films that Rajini has acted before. We all know it.

  Songs are not up to the mark... It scored to suit those youg heroes ( Funky ).
  Defenitely not for Rajini's style....
  Rajini could have tried Deva.

  BABA is a multi crore project. by creating some funny issues, behind the door bargaining would be done, so that "KOLGAI"vaadhigal konjam sillarai paarkalam. The same thing happening all over, remember, Miss world competition, Yanni at taj mahal, city of joy at calcutta, same type of gumbal is acting. savu grakki cases..

  Dr. R. Jayan, You are 100% right. There are a couple of persons in this list who are purposely creating the problems. Like asking a 1m$ question like what has "maya maya" got to do with spiritualism? I don't know what they thought the terms "maya and chaaya" mean? Possibly, girl's name and a single cup tea? :-)
  
  That's why I told them to mature up. Like the majority in this list is aware, "maya" means the "illusion" of this material life. "chaaya"/"Saaya" means shadow. This material life is just a incomplete shadow of the spiritual life. That's why the lyrics "maya maya ellaam maaya, chaaya chaaya ellam chaaya, pattum padaamale thottum thodaamale thaamarai ilai neer pol nee otti ottaamal iru". This is the basic philosophy of our religions.
  
  So, I would like to request those two or three guys... Do express your opinions but do it in a decent way. You are always welcome to have different tastes and favorites.

  Baba is creating high expectation in Hyderabad. The Baba telungu audio cassette has created new record for dubbed movie. It has sold more than 300,000 cassettes within 4 days.
  
  That is Rajini.

  Sunday, August 4, 2002 (Chennai):
  
  Rajnikant Fans across Tamil Nadu are gearing up for August 15. Not just to celebrate Independence Day, but also for the release of the super stars film Baba .
  
  Rajnikant's last release was Padayappa in 1999. And Baba is his much hyped come back movie all set to hit over a hundred theaters in Tamil Nadu on August 15.
  
  The movie, scripted by the star himself has music by A R Rahman and has already sold more than 4.5 lakh cassettes.
  
  "The audio response has been good and we are sure the film will be a hit," says Poonam Chowdhary of Star Music.
  
  And Rajnikant's fans have already started queuing up with special Baba coupons which gives them preference while buying tickets.
  
  While a Rajnikant movie usually guarantees some politically charged dialogues, fans hope that Baba, scripted by the star himself, would finally answer speculation about Rajnikant's entry into politics.
  
  "Tell us. Tell us in one word that you are entering politics. We are dying to hoist your flag and fulfill your dream," exclaims a fan.
  
  "For us a Rajnikant release is like Diwali or Pongal. He is our leader and hero. His film is everything for us," says another upbeat fan.
  
  But even before it's release Baba has had it's share of controversies. Some Dravidian groups had objected to a particular song in the movie. And Rajnikant even had the song rewritten to avoid a confrontation.
  
  Though for Rajnikant's fans nothing seems to matter as long as they get to watch the movie 'first day first show'.

  As it was quoted in cinesouth magazine, irrespective of who being the MD, Rajini fans buy cassettes coz of craziness. Rajini, on his behalf, exploited the seducted mind of a poor man to make money from him in every way. I won't be surprised if his stickers are sold for Rs. 25.

  Well i can see some interesting and desperate comments from IR fans. No matter how much illusion you created to make it a hit it is still going to be viewd as a JUNK music!!! If you guys really have a point to prove, if you guys are not insecure about your ARR music, you won't brand them Baba music haters as " RAJINI'S DETRACTORS".
  You won't brand us as "ARR HATERs"... Somehow you try to convert all the baba music haters into Rajini's Detractors so that you gain sympathy from fans!!! Most of the comments posted here are Rajini fans. I can see the die hard efforts of 2 or 3 people trying to pass "RUSTED IRON" as "DIAMOND". If the movie runs it is for Rajini not for ARR. If it has to run for ARR it will be ZERO days. Any true Music Fan with "MANASATCHI" will say that this ALBUM IS NOT GOOD. If Somebody says this album is good he must be an HCARRF!!! I am pretty sure people will find out themselves about the EXTRAORDINARILY CRAPPY SONGS FROM BABA.

  No doubt ARR is a Good and sometimes Very good. But it is too much hype going on for BABA. I'm not able enjoy the songs but for Raajyama and Baba kichu thaa.
  Why people force themselves to say the songs are good. The way shankar mahadevan pronounces BABA is anoying. I'm happy that Sukwinder did not sing the song.
  My guess is that ARR did not show commitment towards BABA songs. None of the songs can go near Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalaali, Kuluvaalile, Singa Nadai potu.
