Thalattu in TFM

Friends!
Please write about the Thalattu songs in TFM in this thread. (Please revive from Archives if there is any old thread on this sub). This does not mean songs starting with the word `Thalattu'. It should be functional. My all time favourite is `Thenpandi cheemaiyile' from Nayakan. (IR)

Of course, ARR /Deva bashing is allowed as these two have not contributed any thing to this category of music at all! (Some may cite Chikku Bukku Railu?)

  There is a beautiful number by IR in Unnai naan santhithen - Thalattum thaimai anathe. This comes only for a minute or so in the movie, very touching. However, the pathos version of this by SJ - Thalattu MAripponathe- has become much more popular. No doubt it had a great tune, soulful singing and excellent music. Nostalgic!

  Thanks for reminding the `Thookkam un Kangalai' number! An excellent one by SJ! ( Did you know that this lovely tune has been lifted by NS fellow in his very popular film `Shaajan'? The song is `Mera dil bi'- may be difficult to notice as it is guised, it is very apparent in the saranam)
  
  A good old no: `Malarndhum malaradha' from PAsa malar - very tasteful music, excellent lyric and on the screen- touche!
