  Rex, I am listening to the Anbin Mugavari song, though it's not a surprise number for a "Mottai" rasigan, it's good in it's Tamil (different) version too and thanks AGAIN for the Archanai Pookkal. Awaiting for the other 3 songs....

  The reason why the chorus was so noisy (if you feel so !!) in the original song is that the sequence definitely demands the song/chorus to be like that. Anweshana (Padum Paravaigal) is a suspense movie with 4 GREAT songs and the BGM is so good that .....I am not finding words....
  (NOTE: The director of this movie, Vamshy is one of those lucky directors who has got REAL WONDERFUL songs in each and every movie of his, until he started to compose on his own...and flopped too!!)
  (Another Note: Mottai has given his voice for two beautiful bit songs in this movie, which are not available in the cassette)
  The same tune was used again for Abhinandhana, another Telugu movie (starring the same Karthik) which was later dubbed in Tamil as Kadhal Ovyadhillai.
  I am just sharing the info, but not to confuse anybody. It's good to listen to 3 different versions of a song, but composed by Mottai himself (I mean, not by other Copy Meows !!!)

  For Our Maestro's Silver Jubilee Year

  Dear Friends,
  Hope all are fine there. This is Vijay writing from Coimbatore. A feeling for the past few weeks is consistently disturbing me. I think this is the right place to place this tension of mine. We all know that our Maestro's first film, "Annakkili" was released in 1976 which naturally suggests that He is stepping into His Silver Jubilee Year when the world steps into the next millennium. We know the quantity and quality of the recognition that is usually conferred on people when they reach this 25-year mark. To quote an example, Rajinikanth was celebrated by the cine world during his "Padayappa Vetri Vizha Function" for his Silver Jubilee in the field that made me write this letter.
  We all know that Raja deserves more than what this country can give Him. So we are in a position to analyze certain things. I personally do not think He will motivate a crowd to celebrate Himself by the nature of His character. Otherwise it has to be His friends in the Cine Field who may do something for Raja. With many persons like Manirathnam and Bharathiraaja not with Him now, I don't know how much this will be feasible. Also according to them, our Maestro is not in the market. So even if something happens it will be just a formality and not a true function of recognition.
  
  This is where we, the fans of the Greatest Musician of India come into the picture. I think some of us who have a personal influence over the cine field can do something to start a festival committee for the function. I hope all of us remember the two functions where Kalignar Karunanidhi was honored for his fifty years of service to the industry (one in 1996 and the other in 1999) and the grand gala function for Chevalier Dr. Sivaji Ganesan on being conferred "Chevalier" where our Raja went and praised them with His special compositions for them. In fact the Silver Statue of Veera Sivaji presented to Nadigar Thilagam on that day was wholly sponsored by Raja (worth Rs. 5 Lakhs). His function should not be held less than that level.
  One more thing is that our Maestro does not belong to TamilNadu only as He has done music in many languages. So it should be an All India Function holding up His name. His real talents and supremacy over every Indian Music Director has to gain the limelight. I, being a student, can't do anything more but just hope for someone from us to take the lead. Comments are welcome as this will be an international issue. I think this function is more important than anything for Raja fans.

  All the songs in your site are too good. I am a new visitor to your site. I am spell bound by your collection and the way of presentation. You cannot get these songs at such quality anywhere else. Kaviriye Kaviriye from Archanai Pookal is a very good song. From where are you getting all those songs? The movie Archanai Pookal, was not a success with Mohan and Rajalakshmi in the lead.

  Dear All webmasters,
  
  A humble request ! I am creating Maestro Ilaiyaraaja desktop theme. I am now based on Bahrain. So it is very difficult for me to get IR pictures in good quality. Can anybody provide me some good quality pictures of IR ?
  
  I have finalised the startup, shutdown, window maximise, minimise & New mail notification sounds & also the screen saver (I need pictures for that only). I am collecting some animated GIF files also. Icons for My computer, NN, Recycle bin, I am planing to put musical instruments. I am in search of that also.
