  Subbu - can you post more details of that concert? When was this concert held? Surely must be before 1988 coz thats when Seerkazhi G. died, right?
  
  I have however read LMs comments about one old concert by PS where she compared PS to a divine songstress, or a devi, and another one about Seerkazhi comparing the clarity of his voice to a temple bell.

  (Incidentally, Maharajapuram Santhanam sang a bit song in this film- the only film song which he ever sang!)

  Kan vazhiye kan vazhiye is from Justice Viswanathan- Music- Veda
  
  Konjam nilladi is from Kaadhalithaal podhuma

  There was a song by PS in that movie. Few words I remember here and there... "Panchamam, minsaram, Rasamgum" not very sure..

  Well Subbu, I vaguely remember a film called 'Pudhiya sangamam' directed by Charuhasan and having Suhasini in it- but I rather think the hero was Prabhu - I'm not sure though.
  
  I remember a duet by SPB-SJ in it- Unakkum enekkum inimel enna kurai - Music was by someone called Ramakrishna Raja-- maybe there's a song by PS as well--I'm sorry I really don't remember!

  I did recollect a song from the 1950's by our PS from the movie "Jumbo" titled "En Nenjum Unnai". It had a lot of groovy jazzy tinge to it. I was quite amazed by the way she made the song look vibrant and very orthodox. One could feel the upcoming raw energy of a young singer struggling to climb her way up. For PS fans, just listen to that song and you will feel the same. May be SK/ Kalai/Subbu or Raj can catch hold of that song, if possible in mp3 format. I was wondering what if we had her sing even in 1940's?...That would have been truly phenomenal.....I always had thought that she entered the TFM industry a little late....Dont you guys agree?.......

  club for PS we can use that club to share our mp3's
  within the members (who can be anyone interested).

  Why dont you try being a server in www.mp3tamil.org There are so many songs being offered in that IRC. You can use mIRC program to get in there.

  Just remembered a PS song from the movie "Vanji Kottai Valiban". Chitalkar Ramachandra had used PS/Jikki/Leela Chechi and Jamunarani. Four of them were all time hits that includes " Kannun Kannum Kalandhu" (Jikki/Leela), "Vennilavae Vennilavae" (Leela), "Raja Magal..Roja Malar (Leela/JamunaRani), but I dont recall the opening lines of PS's song. Its a pathos and was played in Vividh Barathi between 5.30-6.30 in the early 70's and the 80's. When VB did a movie special on VKV, they had put in all the four songs that I mentioned.....Calling SK/Subbu/Kalai/Raj and others to check the same....

  Kalai, Venmadhiye is definitely by P Leela.
  I think PS's song is Ethanai kelvi or something like that. It is not a pathos song.

  Oh yes, kik, I remember both the songs you have mentioned- there are two more songs by PS in the film- Endhan kathai ithaana, irul soozhndha vaazhvuthaana and Kaneerin vellam ingey oduthayya.
  There is also a TMS-PS duet, which I think goes like-Unmai anbin uruvaai en munne vandhaaye--.
  
  BTW, music for Baghdad Thirudan was by Govindarajulu Naidu.

  PS was the only female singer who brought even the subtle differences for the heroines, As Devika mentioned in Susheela 50 felicitations. If one would listen to the songs she rendered for various heroines they would realize.
  Savithri - kOmaatha engal kulamaatha, solla solla,thanilavu, aanatha antha madam, malarnthu malaraatha,enuyir thozhi, navarathri thrukoothu song, sirikka sirikka,
  Devika - Sonathu nee , Ninaika therintha, Nenjam marapathillai, Kangal engE.
  Sowcar - Kanna sugama, Aduthaathu ambujathai, Maalaipozhuthil.
  Pattukku Ilakkanum Ilakiyam vaguthavar allavaa!
