"you were not able to digest the facts"
In fact, it's the other way! Despite every review saying Baba Music is bad you guys could not accept that. Well, quote me what venom I spewed there. I just wrote Baba music is ordinary. Read again what I wrote and point out me where I spewed venom. Lem'me know!! Otherwise close your mouth! I see you keep doing this everywhere...Your happiness is this way..Enjoy!!

Anyone would like to make comments on the opening of "Appadi Pakkaradenna" song?

i guess are yaar is related to somebody from ARR family. he pokes his nose in all threads and his baseless (anti-IR)remarks are become very very irritating.
whats ur problem buddy, if u dont like IR it is perfectly fine. u have already told many times.
go to some other thread and praise who ever u like. it is really sad to see such people come in these threads every 10 minutes and utter the same message....
if u have anything new, it is OK. we just want to know what ur problem is ???

Awe.. This is one good example of how raja's fashion of soft-mixing bringing melody in. I got swept away by the piano-violin overlapping that eventually turns out western classic to carnatic transition. Also take note of the serene flute piece leading to grand ivories. Simply superb...

Sad to see you becoming a mud-slinger yourself. That's unbecoming of a Constellation guy!
Now the validity of your article on ARR comes under a cloud - not likely to come under objectivity.
Just my humble 2 cents, that's all, NOM!

I have temporarily created a homepage for you guys to listen to the following music... this music may have been source of inspiration for IR in the opening of Ivan.. Brilliant inspiration by IR.. don't search anything in the page.. it is a dummy page.. just wait for the background music..
Let me leave it as a quiz for you folks to guess what movie has this music..

Awe,
Also hear that song "Ennai Yenna" - the transition from Shanmuga Priya to other raagas which I am not able to grasp. I loved that song. Even without interludes or anything his masterful skills can be seen in the way he has built the song. Amazing!

James Horner's OST what is OST mean?
eswar: ennai enna ceydhAy is simmendramadhyamam (like kARRodu kuzalin nAdhamE, nI pourNami) and then moves on to other ragams (like lathangi, hindhoLam, ... ).

AWE,
Glad you also like A Beautiful Mind. I fell in love with the score when I watched that movie. I and abt thousands of ohter soundtrack aficionados have this hatred against JH(also acknowledged by critics) coz he is to Hollywood what ARR is to IFM. He has ripped of both himself and so many existing composers from both film and classical. Many fans have given up on him since his the early 80s movies where he begun to become 'lazy'.
But I was totally mesmerized by his ABM and instantly fell in love with it. Happy listening!
:)

Yes Ambleen.. James Horner is also severely criticized for recycling. But this one has many original tunes. But Titanic gave him life back.
Everytime people write him off he comes up with big numbers like Brave Heart, Apollo 13, Field of Dreams, Glory.. But his recycling was found out long back. Americans don't tolerate these recyclings. Especially using the same music in two movies. If my memory serves right He used the same music both in Die Hard and Aliens. That's why he didn't get credit in Die Hard i guess.

on: Thu Sep 5 12:25:47 EDT 2002
In Titanic, he copied a celtic/irish melody from a not so known Celtic singer.
BTW,I dont think IR got inspired by this track. It is a coincidence I think, a simple arrangement of a piano tune against a string backdrop, IMHO. I came to this conclusion after reading some reviews from amazon.com

It is irrelevant... but have you guys listened to the captivating banjo guitar duel from the movie Deliverance(1972). You don't want to miss that if you have not heard. It is an amazing duel. That duel scene in the movie is Considered to be one of the best 100 best movie moments by American Film Institute. I have that piece with me. In movie it is even nice as a crippled boy plays banjo and a man plays guitar.. Don't miss this movie or the music.

Hi Awe,
I know we shouldn't talk abt HFM here :o but can't help it :)
From what I heard, Die Hard which was done by Michael Kamen had that last bit towards the end of the movie taken from Horner's Aliens or something like that. Fox owned all these music so they can actually use them any way they wanted. But like you said it could have been Horner's assignment originally before he got kicked out. And yes, Americans do not take recycle crap. Straight away, they write them off. Hope India can be like that....talk abt being fair.
Btw, Horner orginially wanted to use Enya for Titanic. But the plan fell thru and he did his next favourite thing....guess wat :)

I saw signs recently. The BGM could have been better. Illayaraj would have done a great job. Lord Of The Rings has a haunting BGM. Reminds me of IR scoring for My Dear Kuttichathan. He should be scoring for Hollywood movies. He has done an awesome job.

I guess hollywood guys must be queuing up in line if they listen to his haunting tunes. All these horners will be running for cover. These acclaimed musicians in US do not know anything about carnatic raagas and its complexity, all they have is some degree in western classic that's it. I guess Illayaraja is one of the most complete musician in the world. It is unfortunate he didn't get enough recongition. There are some people here have been reduced to writing gibberish in a totally alien thread to them. I can understand that as some losers prefer to live in dark world and will stay as parochial minded idiots misusing the name of almighty.

Uthaman, you post something totally idiotic and you expect people not to laugh?
So, millions of fans of TFM don't know, the film-makers in TN don't know, Bollywood people don't know, and now Hollywood people don't know and only YOU know?
Jeez, you should not be in US or allowed anywhere near a computer. You will perfectly fit into a tribe in a village in India.
And don't go crying all over the forum, when you are the one to take cheap veiled potshots at people.

Actually what AWE says is very true. If you want to rebut him, you have to convince him with better knowledge. Give names of composers or their tracks that you know which support your statements or something similar to that. Not cheap shots like "he's the best", "he's the worst", etc.
Try harder.

Ambleen don't expect valid points from people like "161.142.100.86"... He will ask John williams kilo enna vilai? like sulakshana asks in sindu bhairavi..
If you look at a set of ARR fans here... not even a single person is qualified to withstand an intelligent conversation. This is the only way they can attack IR like palestinian suicide bombers who are no match for military of israel. For people like him a statement like "Guitar is a musical instrument" is too technical. So let us not fight with people(161.142.100.86) filled with ignorance.

most of us didnt like many songs at first appeal coz...we did not watch the movie n the video clip.its one of IR's supernatural that his tunes fits good to the screenplay of the song....thats why we dont get the touch till we listen to the song while watching the movie.
for me ..i had the same experiance with germanyin senteyn malare in ulasai paravaigal....now i fall in love with that song

Uthaman, you sound very much like IR. You are full of ego and conceit - the know-all. But little do you realise that the world is laughing at you.
As for the other smart guy who has posted different people's postings saying it is mine, I have to assume he is a IR fan. Only IR fans have the special sevudan kaathu sangu oothal case because of too much listening of IR songs.
