  I have one song Which I can never forget is
  Chinna pura ondru - SPB - Anbe Sangeetha
  You have your own imagination about the song / orchestration / voice of SPB - Everything will be spoiled if you watch the picturisation of this song. Actor's reaction (Thengai Srinivasa) is horrible. So friends better enjoy in Audio only.

  Most of K Balanchander's song picturisation ideas will leave aspiring directors with a 'I can only be better' feeling. 'Anjali Anjali pushpanjali' is a standing testimony to this observation, certainly the camera man went for a pint of beer ,ofcourse after turning on the camera.

  Varaha Nadhi karai from SANGAMAM was the worst picturised best song of ARR....i can never forget the embarrasment in front of my friends when i suggested them this song.......worst from suresh krishna too.....it killed the beauty of the song......

  The song, "Poove Sempoove" from "Solla Thudikkudhu Manasu" tops my list of worst picturised songs, primarily because the song itself is a gem, one of IR-Yesudas combo's timeless classics. When I saw it on the TV, I was totally flabbergasted. It showed Radha Ravi, holding a mike in a 'kalyana mandapam' kind of hall and singing with much exagerrated facial expressions, whilst the heroine (Karpagam-alias Priya I think) dancing along with a lead group dancer on stage demonstrating all sorts of distorted positions!! I shudder to think of watching the song again!

  i think Kangalal kaithi sei picturization is the worst among all the worst,all the songs (masterpiece) was demolished by Barathiraja,even Udhaya's Udhaya Udhaya really spoiled the song!!

  I don't concur with SL's saying that most of KB's songs are not picturised good enough. I doubt if he's seen most of KB's movies! I am not talking about this particular song he's mentioned (Anjali Anjali) because it comes from KB's worst movie ever...and it was made at a time when KB was trying hard to make a come back but failing desperately...
  
  In general I like the way the songs are picturised in KB's movies since they blend so well with the story line and you don't feel them out of place. So, SL's comment is highly biased.

  Ennai Eduthu from Padagotti (idhu padu kolai)

  If u want the maximum distance between Best Music and Worst picturisation , the gold, silver, bronze goes to songs from Ninaivelam Nitya -
  Pani vizum malar vanam, Rojavai thalatum thendral..
  IR,SPB, SJ on one side and on the other extreme, Director Sridhar(sorry!), Karthik,GG (Gemini Ganesan's daughter). This is absolute nightmare.
  I saw it first on TV and hated these songs until i heard only audio somewhere. After that i make it a point to not to look at the screen if these songs are on.
  
  Close second will be Thendrale ennai thodu with that heroine (who ?)

  Yeah All songs from KKS esp,"Azhagiya Cinderella",and "Theekuriviyaay" were the very badly shot songs in recent times,When ARR came up with such great songs BR made the picturisation very much flimsy.

  'Ilamayenum Poonkatru' is one classic example of how an erotic picturization can cause damage to the popularity of a wonderful tune. One of the early classics of IR, i change the channel when this song is hit. Another is 'Maasimaasam' from Dharmadorai.

  How can we forget the picturization of AZHAGIYA TAMIL MAGAL IVAL from the movie RICKSHAWKKARAN & VIZHIYE KATHAI YEZHUTHU from URIMAI KURAL?
  even MUTHUKKALO KANGAL from NENJIRUKUM VARAI also badly picturized. dunno y k r vijaya looked ugly w/o makeu-up in this song...
