The criticism against Baba album was unjustified. I knew that from the beginning, but people here are too blind to see that.

ARR dissapointed me much with Baba only the song "MAya Maya" sounds a bit good the other songs are too much. IN MUthu and Padayappa ARR did well but i don't know what happened to ARR lately. Pehaps Rahamns didn't believe on this film project and composed bad songs. I think ill receive many responses to my view. If you agree or disagree please let me know.

"totally nothing against all the sane ppl here." - then why fight in public? can't you just email each other and sort it out? this is really ridiculous. each page that you waste on your silly fights is costing the unfortunate admins in terms of bandwidth & storage resources.

PART 6: ON BABA
Interviewer: The public opinion is that when we hear your song for the first time, it doesn't register; it doesn't hit hard. But when we hear the song several times over, we get the original feel for that song. So do you think there is any reason for this?
ARR: (laughs). In most of my films. Especially in the recent Rajini Sir's movie. Mainly, including Muthu. when the cassette was first released, the remarks which I got were really discouraging. Then about two to three months later, the same people will say this is better than the other. When Baba was released, I had the same problem. When they first listened, they asked how did this happen (Enna Sir, ippadi aachi?). Then now, in all TV channels, there are requests for the songs.
Interviewer: True.
ARR: I think it is also to do with the expectation. When the expectation of a project is sky high. Sometimes, it will only take a certain weight and if we give more than that, it will break the film's continuity. Alot of factors in it.

Dear ARR,
Actually, the songs of the film are not upto the mark and does not bear the ARR trade mark infact. I don't know whether it is because of the"Bombay Dreams" at London and you sent the music by Net. Whatever be the technology, it will never replace the face to face interaction. Of course, you had criticised Vairamuthu that he could not work in this style. It is nothing but natural that a creator like Vairamuthu may not be able to dance to your whims. This may sound a bit harsh, but it is true. Had you worked with Vairamuthu, just postponing the BD project for some time (in fact, the BD songs were nothing but old wine in new bottle), at least the songs of Baba would have clicked with the audience. The inclusion of Vaali,is another blunder, which created more than one controversy, though I am an admirer of Vaali. I strongly recommend that Vairamuthy-ARR combination should continue to give more fantastic songs for Tamil fans. Insha Allah.
