Any one heard the songs of DUM DUM DUM? I think it's out today. Can anyone give a review of the songs since it's a much awaited songs from MANI-KR Combination.

People with musical knowledge won't come up with a review of DDD. Don't you know the reason? If it's done by ARR, we would have seen reviews like "the bell sound has been placed very well through out the song...." I am not starting ARR vs X fight here. Just pointing out the fact. :))

I think ManiRathnam has made KR to come up with grooves for the songs (Nagas, UV et al should like this one). The recording is better as there is more separation between tracks. Still the keyboard/synth itself is not that great. ManiRatnam was over KR's shoulder for all the songs, except one, I guess :)

guys you can praise KR whiletalk about any raagas which is he in his work...but do u think the ordernary people will understand or could be they fill KR talent...no defenetly not..

whether KR find something new or trend but the fact is people not like that surely.

I found Dum DUm better then Horrible Vanchinadthan and SAR style UKP!!
come on doing think you just over doing it

for your info....Tulluvathu Ilamai was release erlier than DDD in Malaysia.. its a very good album and worth buy it...but isuggest you don't buy DDD u will Disp.

Songs are some what fresh. Way to go KR...
after seeing a confused musician KR...we are now seeing the complicated musician...KR...

UV..why dont you review UKP as well ?? And also please comment on the structure of the song. I would like to know why you think DDD is better than UKP.

I heard KR's Dum dum dum. I was not at all impressed by it. I heard a lot of hype about his album and I purchased this tape expecting at least 1 good song. What a disappointment it was. I was horrified by the prspect of people prasing this poor album. I felt even UKP was bad, but a shade better than DDD. I did however also purchase Thulluvatho Ilamai and I was pleasantly surprised. There was no big hype for this album, but I was very impressed with both Dheena and Rishi, so I had expectaions and TI surpassed those expectations. I feel Yuvan is showing himself to be a far better and mature musician than Karthik. Every song on TI was appealing and I think you'd all like it. This may be starying from the topic guys, but have you heard any further news on Yuvans upcoming marriage? It seems that after this London girl has entered his life his music has just got better and better.

UV, I already know what you and Nagas or Madhav like :) You guys all like groove based songs !!! (whats with all those silly choruses :)) Anyways, KR knows the craft very well, been around his father. He gave what Mani wanted. Lets see what he does next.

Dear Kiru I dont know abt others.
But I personally give preference to melody.
Now as you know back home youngsters like only fast paced groovy songs but the music composition of most MDS are so horrible except of ARR,now you have HJ(YSR learning the stuff fast he is getting there) since KRs DUMDUM had better structured songs than his earlier compositions I liked it.
Personally I still like his 'Pandiyanin Rajiyathil' song of KR and his best of so far is 'Thendral vanthu' for Nassar Movie musci by IR but this songs orchestn done by KR hope u understand what I was trying to say.
Dont please categorise as a only groovy based guy.
You know nothing about my taste man!!
If you are interested I will send in one of my compositions.
