  'Niram pirithu paarthaen' brings back that IR who I am longing for. It just eats away the other songs. I am so hooked on to this fabulous song sung by Sujatha. The charanam has shades of 'Thendral nee thendral nee' from Thandhuvittaen ennai. I am happy IR did not choose Bhava to sing this song.

  Thanks a lot for the feedback. Niram Pirithu is a brilliant composition by Maestro. The song has a slow and gentle start and the tempo is maintained through out the song. One of the best Western Classic by IR in recent times. The entire album is worth for this song alone. Though there are two more great numbers which will be uploaded today. In the song Nenaichapadi which I will upload today, you should see the transition in the second interlude, man it will make you jump and dance.

  Niram pirithu parthen, is a sort of a remake of a ghazal song sung by Jagjit Singh, in a movie in the 70s.. "Ye Thera Ghar, ye mera Ghar"..
  so i dont consider this to be a original tune, though the interlues are fresh!!
  i dont want any jhonnies who havent ever listened to the song i have mentioned above, to pick this up and fight back!!! please.
  Just a thought.. genuine music listeners who have heard both may comment for good!!

  UPLOADS UPDATE -- RAREST OF THE RARE GEM OF ILAIYARAAJA - MICHAEL MADANA KAAMARAAJAN
  
  The long awaited and much expected song, Mathapoovu Oru Pennaagathaa from MICHAEL MADANA KAAMARAAJAN is uploaded to my site right now. This song is a wonderful TABLA number of IR and the voice of KS Chitra is just awesome. I really had a tough time in getting this song back from India on my recent trip, as I had to re-record from the old damaged ECHO cassette that I had with me.
  
  This song was available only in the first consignment of MICHAEL MADANAKAAMARAAJAN......10 good years have passed by...but not the charm of this wonderful song.......
  
  I will be happy to see some postings here on this particular number. Also please comment about the quality of this badly damaged number!

  THANKS A TON for the song MATHAPOOVU. I have been sending repeated requests for this. I lost my cassette of MMKR and I couldn't find this number in all its later editions. Isn't it a wonderful song Rex? The mesmerising voice of Chitra along with the off-beat melody makes it one of the rarest of rare numbers.

  While FTPing the HTML file you could have goofed up by sending it through Binary mode. Or if you were using Microsoft Frontpage that really messes up all the links. While using MS Frontpage, and if you are trying to give the links, please make sure that you have your page open. In that way when you give hyperlinks, "http://members.xoom.com/sgiridha/" will be present automatically and then you can add on the ram file extension to it. This might be one of the possible reasons for the problem.

  Wonderful song from MMKR man. I am very sorry that I could not really accede to your request, earlier, because I had this number back in India. The Tabla beats are just mesmerizing and moreover Chitra's voice is too too cute. TF makers do not have any masala is revealed the way they have ignored this great song too!! I am wondering how the numerous other tunes of IR would have gone to the drain by being ignored by the Directors/Producers ........hmmmm???
