  There is one good song from the film "Paarvadhi ennai paaradi". SPB and SJ rendu perumae kalakkiruppaanga. It is a very good song from IR but unfortunately it is not much remembered maybe because of the film's debacle in the box office as well the film didn't have any star value (hero was Saravanan, I think) Only the MD (IR) was popular. Have anyone of you heard this song,

  thanX for reminding this excellent song ( chinnapoongodi) actually this one has 2 versions - one Happy & one sad ( climax song - they put saravanan in the middle of fire & he starts singing this song )., both are very good & one of best works by IR - another good song that i remember form this albums is 'suriyanaik kaNdavudan thamarai een malaruthu., chandiranaik kaNdavudan alli een malaruthu.," - is it by SJ? can somebody clarify this .,

  The song I am referring to is the one sung by SPB and SJ. I believe this is the climax song? Did both SPB and SJ sing both the versions or only the climax song?
  
  I have no idea about the other song you are referring to from this album. In fact, I don't have any idea about the film as such. I happened to get a collection of IR hits CD and only in that I heard the "chinnapoongkilli" song. I regret so much for not being able to hear this song when the album was released. Vaazhkai wastea pochonnu ninaikkiraen (Just joking). But, this song is one of the many innumerable masterpieces of IR. The prelude and the interludes are great. At that time of release of this film, almost all films with IR as MD will have one great song repeated again and again in the same film (Vikraman is doing it in his films although most of the songs in his films are junk. courtesy - SAR). For eg. "manikkuyil isaikkudhadi" song from "thangamanasukkaaran", "kalyana maalai" song from "pudhu pudhu arthangal".
  
  I really don't understand why this song didn't become a super hit. Maybe, this was because of the poor star cast in the film. Imagine, what a mega hit this song would have been, had it been composed in a Rajni movie or a Kamal movie!!!

  Shanmugam., this film is directed by V. Sekar & has saravaNan & a new face heroine., the duet is by SPB-SJ & the climax song is by SPB., except these 2 songs & the 'suriyanaik kaNdavudan,.' song., all other songs in this film are DAPPAANGUTHTHUs i think., so don't worry much about missing this album., u got the best song of the album-----

  I think that you are talking about the song from "Vedam Pudhidhu" (MD : IR). It goes like this,
  
  "kannukkul nooru nilava... idhu oru kanava...
  ....... kaadhal kadidham... ezhudhiya urava...
  naanam vidavillai vazhiyillai... yeno vidai innum peravillai...
  ..... vandhu sollum reedhiyil dhaan vaarthai varumaa..."
  
  It was sung by SPB and Chithra. It is not Revathi also. It is Amala.

  Ungalukku yen indha sandhegam vandhadhu. People have also mentioned songs from "Gentleman" (MD : ARR), "Enga Chinna Raasa" (MD : SG), "Varumayin Niram Sigappu" (MD : MSV), "Karna" (MD : Vidyasagar). The reason why it seems so to you is (ungalukku therinjirukkum... irundhaalum solraen), this combo of SPB and SJ have sung more songs (not just duet songs) in IR's music (and the majority of them are super hits) than any other MDs music.
  
  Idhukku mela ungalukku IR thavira vera MD musicla SPB-SJ duet venum appadinnu sonnal, enakku oru junk song dhaan niyaabagam varudhu. It is from the film "Vandicholai Chinraasu" (MD : ARR). It is that "Parotta" song.
