Guys,

7GRC's preview is coming on tv channels now. Yuvan has come up with a different theme music this time. Any thoughts?

  It is a news to me. If anything near to the word "rustic" in yuvan's music, it is the rusty thamizh, thats all.

  Yuvan didnt do any magic-he bridged the gap between VidyaSagars new trials and bharadvaj's repeated tunes..though most of these songs have heavy inspirations from both old tamil and western styles-note for these in his albums-
  beats-ARRs style(he introduced it here..!)
  flute-no complexity with reference to any ragas
  humming-again the same repetitions
  themes-this flows in the movies too..
  
  yet this fellow was able to give songs that one can listen for its music..not like other MDs are not consistent..say in the film ULLAM which is neither a big comp production or a star value for the movie-yet e gave good tunes say,kangal thirandhu...-good work
  
  Yuvan still have to work hard with the rerecordings..

  no matter what,Yuvans music is excellent.He is the only guy down south who blends flamenco and spanish guitar into tamil songs so beautifully.The music in 7-g is down to earth and honest and makes me feel like im listening to proper tamil music, i had the same feeling when i listened to'ullam',another real good work from the young man.Many of his oh-so-good songs like 'aanandam pennukkulle' from Junior Senior,'vaa vaa' from rishi went unnoticed,its a pity....thanks a lot Yuvan for breathing some life into tamil and saving us Keralites from ARR crap.

Yuvan’s music has the rustic quality of Ilayaraja and also the fast elements that get the youngsters going. A typical example is the music album of 7-G Rainbow Colony.   There was a new preview of 7GRC coming with new background score. (It was not included in the audio cassette) When I was browsing the channels, I happened to see only the last few scenes of it. anyone seen it?

  Don't you think SR need not have waited,unlike SJS he is quite open about everything&does not resort to cheap double meaning comedy(!!!).I think the censors will be more comfortable with him rather than SJS.Infact i still wonder why SJS who made a 'Vaali' with it's sizzling but not vulgar sexuality made a 'New'.Anyways &/G,RC is being advertised as a September release.

  SR thinks that the present state of the board will do some damage to 7GRC because of the fight they had with Surya. They might look more into the scenes and object them. I agree he should not have waited.

  I watched the film today and enjoyed it thoroughly. Though it has shades of KK here and there, overall film is good. Selvaragavan's dialogues are just so natural and awesome. Yuvan's background score is a plus point to the movie and he has come out with excellent pieces whole movie. It is great to see this team doing very good. I hope someday this team will go places just like Selavaragavan wishes. Ravi Krishna is very apt for the character, and so is every body.
  
  But he should have avoided the item number which is unnecessary and whoever did the make-up for the group dancers should get fired... so cheap.
  
  Apart from these, this movie is refreshing in this masala season happening in tamil cinema today, and definitely a worth watch.
