Harish Raghavendra---Still neglected by ARR

its high time ARR gives up his bombay Moham and starts using local talents like harish raghavendra who have managed to make it even without arr

  Please don't blame ARR for not giving chance to Harish, just because his tamil accent is good. Even Ilaiyaraja himself allows Sadhana Sargam to sing for his films...why not ARR ? When ARR starts doing something, all other MDs including IR copies that.
  
  I'm not talking about the tunes being copied by other MDs...but the singers. If Rahman gives chances to Udit, sadhana, Sukhwinder and others, other MDs like YSR, KR, Deva and even IR just do the same.
  
  So...what's there to blame ARR ? Even harish doesn't have originality in singing. So i don't think, it is a big mistake.

  you are telling us 'Why non-tamil singers are getting chance to sing for other MDs'

  Harish doesn't have originality ? Avar songs ethaavathu kaettirukkeengaLaa neenga ? I feel he is the best guy in todays 'young' TFM with good tamil pronounciation and originality - Even when he is singing Thanglish songs !

  I too know that his pronunciation is good. but I'm very sure that he doesn't have originality. In desingu raaja song, he immitates Shankar Mahadevan. In mudhar kanave, he immitates unnikrishnan a lot. I don't think, people can identify him only by hearing his voice.
  
  nErmaiyaa sollungga. Nandhaa-vila oru song avar paadi irukkar. unggalaala kandupidikka mudinjadhaa ? :-) pala samayam, mookkaala paadaraaru (you might have noticed it).
  
  I think, yugendran and Charan are far better than this guy (In pronunciation, modulation and originality).

  I very well identified Harish's song in Nandha and I wrote it in one of very first responses about the movie !
  
  As far as pronounciation is concerned, I would say Harish is the best among the lot .... To give you an example - I haven't seen any other 'new' singer differentiating la, La and Zha as good as this guy does,
  
  Charan and Originality ? What are you talking yaar ? He imitates his father too much and we haven't heard Yugendiran much (in TFM) to discuss,

  absolutely. i'm glad there's one young singer who knows the differences between the las and the nas, instead of people like udit narayanan who can't sing the word "kaasu" and samantha febi who can't say "pachai."
  
  in tamil film music, the top singer for clarity of tamil letters is S.P.B. then there's harish. then there's unnikrishnan.
  
  (there are other good clear singers too like yesudas, i should mention.)
  
  VAALGA TAMIL, and i wish "Tamil" singers would stop killing it.

  I very well agree that SPB is the top singer for tamil clarity, pronounciation and Bhavam in voice, I was talking about the 'new' singers, thats why I didn't mention his name.,
  
  May be people will disagree - But I feel When IR sings, He is very careful in his uchcharippu - Be it a village tamil or city tamil, He is dedicated and does a good job, My recent fav. or IR (as singer) is Bharathi's Ninnaich charaN Adainthaen !!

  In any case the 10 or odd singers who sing in a year for ARR are not getting that firm a footing due to that reason alone (even though the songs fly high)...what happened to the much hyped pEthi of DKP? Conclusion: Unless a singer scores well with other MD's who score for 90%+ of the TFM being produced, they can't stay on top for longer...With HR in the good books of most MDs (including the ARR clone, HJ), why should he bother about being spotted by ARR?

  I think, you're confused with copying the style and having the same kind of voice. What Mano does is imitating. But Charan naturally has his father's voice. We cannot say that he is copying.
  
  You might not have heard Yegendran's songs. But it doesn't mean that he is not better than Harish. I know both of them. That's why I'm telling this.
  
  'ninnai charan adaindhen' is a good song and very well sung by Harish. But only one song is not enough for a singer. How about his other songs ? Harish mookkaala paadaraaru-nggaradhai yaaraalum marukka mudiyumaa ? idhu oru nalla singer-kku azagaa ?

  I'm really wondering how Unni Krishnan can be included in the list of top singers for clarity of tamil letters !! I started disliking his voice only because his 'uchcharippu' is not good. Please listen to 'adhisayam' song from jeans once and tell this :-)

  Your knowing someone does not necessarily make him better than another. Charan not only has his father's voice but he attempts to modulate the voice the same way. I am sure you appreciate the difference.
  
  And perhaps you are confusing Harish Raghavendra with IR... :-)

  if you are using the word 'achievement' in right context, I would say both the singers you have mentioned haven't achieved **anything** when compared to Harish who atleast has one 'flawless' 'NiRpathuvae, Nadappathuvae' to his credit - Even if you ignore his other hits purposefully !

  thamarai...how can u say unni's pronounciation is nod good..have u ever listen properly to his songs?
  although his mother tounge is diff he has the most execelent tamil pronounciation
  and harish too..i really admire harish pronounciation.i guess only these two singers have good tamil pronouncitaion among the young singers.i think harish should be given a hance to sing in arr songs. i like one of songs' noorandukku orumurai'..very nice and sweet.

  HR definitely has a distinct voice, good pronunciation and reasonable depth.
  
  He does not imitate UK or SM who have totally different voices. Charan is no where near his father.HR is one of the best local talents available in TFM. UK's pronunciation is decent but is not flawless. If you listened to 'NaRumugaiyae' both he and BJ pronounce oRRai thingaL..etc as Ottrai.
  
  ARR keeps giving chances to many others including tamil killers though he is not the worst offender. -It is VS who is the worst offender.
  
  But why is ARR ignoring a good talent? he gives chances to the wooden voiced Unni Menon, nasal king Sukhvinder and non descript Lucky ali etc.,
  He seems to pamper lesser or no talents but not genuine talent like HR. Even KK whose Tamil pronunciation is good, has a lighter voice than HR. HR has sung some memorable numbers like Sarkarai nilave for MS & many songs for HJ. Nirpathuve put him on the right perspective. Recently his song "manasukkuLLe" in autograph is very well rendered
  
  It is high time ARR used HR to enhance melody value of his songs.

  hey guys this is supposed to be a competitive world........obviously harish doesent make it to ARR's scheme of things.......... btw ARR never has any grudge on anyone......i heard, he even tried to get Bhavatharani sing in a song of his but things couldn't work out........if he can work with IR's daughter, then he will work with anyone else....
