Hi musiclovers!!!

newtfmpage has been a nice place for people to share what they know with each other. Many people help you with what you want and become your pals.

But how many of these faces have you seen?

How many have you met in person?

How many have you atleast spoken to over phone?

How many have you chat with on a Messenger?

How many have you atleast mailed?!

Get-togethers happen every now and then. I can see people shaking their heads violently in disagreement, but they do happen! Atleast ONE major get-together has happened to my knowledge.

  Bangalore la, Koramangala 5th block la krishna kafe appadinu oru tamil restaurant irukku. one of the veery few places in bangalore where you get typical south indian food.
  
  And sony world kku oppiste la oru road pogum towards national games village. andha roadla immediately towards the lft oru dhum kadai irukku. Thats the only dhum shop open till 1.30 at night in koramangala/madiwala/eejipura areas.
  
  Brigade road end la corner house appadinu oru ice cream kadai irukku. anga kedaikara varieties of ice cream and thick shakes. wow..amazing..
  
  and from banshankari bus stand la irundhu kanakapura road la ponaa after some 17 kms you have to take a diversion towards the right. adhula oru 3 1/2 kms ponaa you get a resort called trans indus. excellent resort away from the maddening crowd. only problem is they close at 6.30 pm :-(

  Ferrari, Koramangala-la Krishna Chinai-la Saturday lunch saaptrukeengala? I think back on so many balmy Saturday afternoons, when,I have attacked the Andhra meals there with gusto, while reading Arthur Hailey/ John Grisham (Enakku saapdampothu kathai book padikka romba pidikkum!). Konkan and Gongura’s are other ideal places in Koramangala.
  
  For a leisurely Sunday brunch, comfortable in the company of your closest friends, I recommend a drive to Golconda Chimney in the Marathalli route (Airport-Whitefield Road?)- try the North Indian thaali, its simply out of the world!
  
  Chinese food pidukkuma? Check out (if you haven’t already) Shangrila in Brigade Road ( Bar-um undu!) Taipan is my second choice. Rice Bowl, third.
  
  Quick lunch on a busy weekday? Ajantha off MG Road, (opp. Mittal Towers) is the place you’re looking for!
  
  Quick tiffin in the evening? Try the joint in the YMCA campus in Nrupathunga Road. Only in my case, it was never quick. The man in the kalla turned out to be an Agatha Christie fan himself, and once seeing me reading ‘The Murder in the Vicarage’, he entered into conversation, and from then, we were always discussing the methods of Poirot vis-à-vis Miss.Marple!
  
  For yummy pastries, Koshys and Sweet Chariot are my earnest recommendations.
  
  Ice creams-ukku, yes, Corner House is the best. Movenpick (St. Marks Road) and Ice Station Jamba (Dikenson Road) also have some exotic flavours. Try the Black Currant in ISJ. Of course, Saturday oru 5 in the evening Wimpy’s-la utkaarndha pozhu porathe theriyaathu ;)
  
  Priyamana thozhi-ya asathanuma? Take her out for a romantic dinner in Ebony in Barton Centre. Aana purse konjam gaaliyaayidum :) 1498 AD (Palace Road) is good too. Or Jacaranda in Koramangala is a quiet corner too. North Indian dinner-na Aangan is ideal.
  
  Pubs-la Purple Haze and Black Cadillac (do they still have the funny signboards, I mean calling the Gents’ washroom ‘Elton John’ and the Ladies’ ‘Olivia Newton John’!!) are worth visiting. Happy Hours-la ponaa konjam paisa michamaakkalaam! Cellar is also a cozy place to relax and have fun. ( Angey thaan I learned the classic song Alice, who the ---- is Alice'!). UG, I hear, has lost most of its ancient glory :(
  
  Ivlo selavu panittu purse-la onnume minjalaya? Never fear. Pallavi theatre velile-la night 11 manikku kooda oru paatti dosai oothi kodupaanga. For Rs.5, you can eat all the dosais you want. Oru plastic plate-la suda suda dosaiyum- chatniyum, (covered in day before-yesterday’s Deccan Herald Paper), served by that paatti (she’s a Tamil Patti btw, and everyone calls her ‘aayaa’) with affection, will surely fill our stomach and heart. ‘Ina thambi, dhuddu illaiya? Paravalai raja, adutha vaatti kodu’ she’ll say, with compassion, understanding and trust. That ‘bandi-dosa’ is the best food recollection I have of Bangalore! Andha nalla manam vaazhga!
