Aayiram Jenmangal MD is MSV only. Its original version in Malayalam which was directed actress Sheela "Yaksha Gaanam " music also was scored by MSV only.

In the movie MOGHA MUL, the only male singers listed (on-screen) are K.J. Yesudas and Arunmozhi.
However, I know that some people credit M.G. Srikumar with two songs in the movie ("Nenjei Gurunaadhanin..", which I thought was by Arunmozhi, and "Sollaayo Vaay Thiranthu..",
which I thought was by KJY). I would think that the information in the movie titles are more reliable than the ones on the CDs or cassettes. Can anyone verify this information? Thanks.

Veera: I think it is AmsalEkha, a famous Kannada MD, who has scored music for kodi parakkathu, paruva ragam etc. He recently got a National award for best MD for the Kannada movie, ngyana yOgi panchaakshara gawai, the movie for which SPB got one too.

I have nenjE gurunaathanin on my page. Hari Govindan had mentioned it is by Sreekumar. I also think so, listen to the typical mallu pronunciation when he sings 'sevadi maRRRandhu' instead of maRandhu.

This is a followup of a piece of the discussion about Mu. Mehta's songs in the "Lyricists other than VM..." thread. I think "Unnai thAnE.." has been written by Mu. Mehta, because I remember having taken note of it, and wondering that this guy is not as popular as the others, in spite of some good work. Are you sure about it being a VM song ?

The singers listed in the movie ORU KAITHIYIN DIARY are KJY, SPB, Vani Jayaram, Uma Ramanan, S.P. Shailaja and Gangai Amaran. (I apologise for sounding like a broken record, quoting from movies). I agree that "Ponmaaney Kobam Eno.." sounds more like Unni Menon than any of the other male singers listed. How is this possible? I do not have a CD or audio cassette of the movie, but only the video. Can any of you (including Ramki and Mano) explain this?

Ayram jenmangal was a remake of 'Punar janmam' -MD -MSV

Pon Mane kobam eno is by Unni menon.He told this in one of his interviews.It's his first film song in Tamil

Mano its definitely Manjula. She is a kannada film
song singer and this was her debut in tamil. She sang one more song in dharmam vellum(vijaykanth starrer)-a duet with Mano

Viswa the song is by VM. There are 5 songs in this film
unnai thanae - VM
chittukku sella chittukku-Na Kamarasan
muthadudhe muthadudhe vaanam-Muthulingam
vachukkava unnai mattum nenjukulle-gangai amaran
Nallavan(something like that-by SPB,MV)-could be any of the above.

Rajinikanthukkaaga Mu Mehta ezhudhiya paadalgal:
pon maanae sangeetham-naan sigappu manidhan
pethu eduthava dhan - velaikkaran
vaa vaa anbae vaa - Velaikkaran

Varghese Rajaraman is rite about 'pon maanae kobam'-it was by Unni menon but he was introduced as Vijay.

The other song in the movie "Nallavanukku Nallavan" is I think
"Enga Mudhalaali Nalla mudhalaali
Vella panam nalla manam ulla mudhalaali".
The song is in praise of Visu who acts as Gangadharan the guy who employs Rajini. Is that the song that u had mentioned last in the list.

Also about "Pon Maane" I had been saying that for a pretty long time from my college days that the singer was called "Vijay" because I had got the name from AIR's "Vividh Bharathi", but I had no proof in print and all my friends threw that fact as trash.
