  The song "Endrum Puthithaaga" from Vietnam veedu.. Is it on the "60-th birthday sequence of Sivaji in that film? PS lines are "Iraivan ennai padithaan vazhvum koduthaan.. enakoru ulagam kaatinan".. is that song you are referring to?

  Subbu, Sorry for not answering your query reg. 'Endrum Puthithaaga' promptly. (Thursday-Friday comprise my weekend!). But it gave me time to listen to the song and reply to you.
  
  Its SR & co who start off the song with'Endrum Pudhithaaga Illamai kuraiyaamal, thendral pol--", followed by SR's 'Ulagathile oruvanenna uyarndhu nikkum thilagame--'. Then PS sings the'Iraivan ennai padaithaan' bit. SR & co follow with'Varusham ponaal enna'. The last part is by ALR and SR-' Ammadi idhu enna udambu--'
  
  Kalai, I checked up on 'Nooraandu kaalam vaazhga'-the third voice, besides SR and LRE is Sarala.
  
  You are right about the PS-JR song from Sabash Meena. It goes like this 'Aaanaga pirandhadhellam azhagendru theridhapinnum veenaana jambam yenadi, Rajathi'

  (lovely song- it used to come on radio ever so often)
  
  10.Urulum panam munne- Pon Vilayum bhoomi(1959)-PS-JR- KH Reddy- Gemini Ganesh, Padmini.
  
  Subbu, though I'm not sure about the starcast of Valli Deivaanai (1973), I vaguely remember seeing a poster somewhere with Ravichandran's picture. S Varalakshmi must have acted in it, for she has sung a superb song in it-'Velava thiru amarar kula thalaiva'. There is a soulful PS solo too-'Poothirundhen kaathirundhen'. Also there is duet by a pair of unknown singers- Dhanasekhar and Mallika. It is a good song, but I am not getting the opening line just now. Music, as Kalai has mentioned, is by Thyagarajan.( Has he done any other films?) Kalai, though I have these 3 songs, I am sorry I don't have the PS-JR song'Kaalachakratherinil' you have mentioned.

  Saravanan, Kalai, I also second your opinion.. the song "Nenjinile ninaiv magam" is a classic..
  
  The song from Valli Deivanai duet by Dhanasekar & Malliga (MalargaLin raja azhagiya roja...) was acted by Sasikumar (who died in fire accident) and M Bhanumathi (who is now acting in "aNNi" serial in mother role). The song was damn good.
  
  You remember on more duet by the same pair (Dhanasekar & Malliga) from the film "Thalattu". don't remember the starting line. (something like Annaikku thalattu...)

  Subbu, are you sure that there is a duet by Dhanasekhar and Mallika in 'Thalattu'?
  
  I have one song from Thalattu in my Soolamangalam Rajalakshmi collection. It is a lovely duet by TMS & SR- "Malligai pooppottu kannanukku mangala neeraattu, shenbaga pooppottu paadu oru senthamizh thalattu' (written by Mayavanathan)- gentle, soothing lullaby.
  
  Thalattu(1969) had music by ML Srikanth. (Mariadoss Luis Srikanth was a very talented musician- he hummed for the PS song 'Kaadhal kaadhal' in Utharavindri Ulley Vaa. Of course he was the MD for 'Ninaipathu Niraiverum'(1976)- the title song by MLS & VJ is unforgettable and the VJ solo'Ennendru solvenadi'is mesmerising)
  
  As for the other songs in 'Thalattu'- I remember the haunting TMS solo-'Vilakkillamal kanakkezhuthi en vaazhkkai amaithaaya' and 'Varum pothu medayil vilayaadinom' by Seergazhi Govindarajan. (lyrics for both- Thiruppathoor Rasu, who changed his name later to 'Thirupaathooraan' and later again called himself as 'Kaalidasan' and wrote all the songs in 'Vaikasi Poranthaachu' and the famous Amman song in 'Purusha latchanam').
  'Thalattu' starred someone called Raja pandian as hero.

  Subbu, 'Verenna ninaivu unnai thavira' is from 'Suba dinam' - 1969. MD-KVM.
  Other great songs from the film- 'Anndukku aandu' by Seergazhi Govindarajan and 'Puththam pudhu meni' by Balamuralikrishna and PS.(According to Mr.Vamanan, Puththum pudhu meni was composed by TG Lingappa).
  I'm sorry I don't know who acted in it. Maybe Muthuraman? I have a vague memory that it was directed by KSG.
  
  Kalai, reg. Jagam pugazhum punnia kathai, P Leela is said to have told Mr.Vamanan that Sri Sathya Saibaba loved this song and used to affectionately refer to PL and PS as Lava and Kusha!

  Thanks Saravanan. I wagely remember that it was the same combination of PanchvarnakiLi (Jai+KRV+Muthu), repeated in Subha dhinam.
  
  I never knew that Dr.BMK + PS has given another tamil film song than "Thanga radham vandhadhu". Can any1 post the link for 'Puththam pudhu meni' from "Subha dhinam", if they have.
  
  Sar, Kalai: I remember there are only 2 singers in Lava Kucha (PL + PS), who sung 41 songs (some of them are small bits + Thogayara kind of songs). The film came out in Telugu first and then dubbed in Tamil.
  
  One more I heard (no memory on song title & film title), which was sung by PLeela (Main) + supported by PS + AP Komala.

  3.kOdi kOdi inbam tharave, thedi vantha theivam-- PS+PL / Aadavantha Deivam / KVM /Anjali devi. Other good songs in the movie are "Nilayaga en nenjil oli veesum deepam " by PS, "Sangam muzhangi varum singara thamizh kalaye" by TRM + PS, and "sottu sottunnu sottuthu paaru ange" by PS+TRM.
  4."Undu enbeero illai poi enbeero" --PS+PL / Manjal magimai / lyrics--Udumalai / savithri. Other good songs are "Aagaya veedhiyil azaghana vennila" by Gantasala+PS and "kodai marainthal inbam varum" by the same pair.
  5. Idhaya Oonjal Aadava--TMS+PS+PL /Pesum deivam /KVM /Vaali/padmini
  6.Vaanga Vaanga Maapillai --PS+PL Annavin Aanai

  There was a music store next to Shanti theatre (Mount road). There I saw the cassettes on Lava Kusha, showing 41 entries.... many of them were small bits also. I am not very sure about the full songs. In that film, many scenes, where narration by L & K happening wherein the small pieces were used.
  
  Can you post the link for 'Puththam pudhu meni' from "Subha dhinam", sung by BMK + PS.
  
  Kalai, I was all along think that "Idhaya Oonjal Aadava" was by TMs+PS only. Who acted for that song apart from sivaji and Padmini. I mean, for whom PL sung?
