They will launch whizkid music director, A R Rahman, as their first international artiste from India.

The launch will be marked by the release of Vande Mataram, Rahman's new non-filmi music album that claims to have an inspiring mix of Indian tradition and spirit of world music. Rahman has composed and sung all the numbers -- which are a mix of Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Tamil and English.

In addition, a special track features a duet between Rahman and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan of Pakistan. This is supposedly the first time that an Indian and Pakistani artiste have come together to create this kind of music. Proof of the fact, Singh says, that Vande Mataram is a meaningful concept in the subcontinent.

Another legendary musician who has contributed to the making of this album is Dominic Miller, best known for being Sting's guitarist.

A piece from this album 'vandhE maadharam' is played every hour on SunTV with people from different parts of India speaking a few words and ending those with 'vandhE maadharam'. Among them were vairamuthu (as usual, over-acting ), Sivasankari ....

Once, a long part of the song was shown. The picturisation is attractive showing various portions of India. The beat for the song is very catchy. But when ARR starts shouting at the top of his voice, his thamizh pronounciation adding to our misery, I couldn't stand it.

Sun TV is a playing some role in promoting this album.

i am arvind i am a great fan of arrahman and i have got married in 1992 with my lovely arrahman music when i listened to his roja's music. at the time roja's launch i was working at the chola sheraton hotel at madras in banquets as a steward and i remember that i served mr.arrahman snacks during the tea meet at the roja's launch. i am feel so proud now that i served for a great acheiver. i want to tell you all that arrahman is going to compose the orchestra for a darma at united kingdom, the shakespear.
