Does anybody have a clip of the Carnatic piece in the movie Unnal Mudiyum Thambi?

  practice(kaml&Gemini sing at night)
  panchanatheesha paahimaam (Gemini/kamal in the concert)
  one piece KYJ&SPB with naadhaswaram
  thuLasi dhaLamulachae (Aravindh entry)

  It is not available in the company CD too. The piece I think he is talking about is after there happens a tiff between the gemini and kamal and there is a nadhaswaram + KJY singing (mainly swaras). TO my knowledge it was not an SPB-KJY-NAadhaswaram combo but just KJY and the instrument. IT is a fantastic piece.

  MS: Gemini(voice-KYJ), kamal(voice-SPB) & the Big-brother(naadhaswaram) take part in it.
  Hence it is KYJ+SPB+Naadhaswaram piece.

  yes, KJY sang for both of them.... there was no SPB on the songs mentioned..... only "edhazhil kaadhai", "akkam pakkam paruda", "nanjai ondu" songs were by SPB

  I remember a tamil song kjy sings for kamal - this is the first carnatic concert kamal sings in after breaking up with his father - nee ondru thaanaa en sangeetham, bilahari nee ondru thaanaa en sangeetham... Bilahari being Gemini's title?

  Just an observation:
  
  Sindhubhairavi - had all songs sung by KJY
  Salangai oli - had all songs sung by SPB
  Unnal mudiyum thambi - had songs sung by both of them
  
  What was IR trying to prove ? that he can get national awards with these two guys ? :-)

  MS it is because...
  Sindhubhairavi is mainly acted by SivaKumar(KJY fits)
  
  Salangai Oli is mainly acted by Kamal(SPB fits)
  
  But UMT is acted by two artistes Gemini & Kamal, so two singers
  
  I think IR wasn't trying to prove anything apart from chosing suitable between the option for the characters of the respective movies.

  Kupps: neenga sollratha paathaa IR never used KJY for Kamal at that timenu suggest pannrathu pola irukku. In fact, the nee ondru song is picturuzed on Kamal addressing his father.

  i was not suggesting that IR never used KJY for Kamal. i was opining that, for Kamal, SPB was suiting better than KJY. Here, im not implying anything on SPB's/KJY's ability, proficiency etc. It is just a matter of suitability to Kamal. This suitability owes partially to the "conventional usage(trend?)" and "people's mind set" too.
  
  Infact, yes, there are many classic cases in which KJY sung for Kamal (eg) adhisaya raagam from apoorva raagangaL by MSV; Maanida saevai drohama kalivaani neeyae sol from UMT by IR.

  These pieces are not available on the net, as far as I know, bcos they are all part of the BGM. I suggest that get the DVD of the movie and extract the sound track that you need.
