IR 's Family in Boom

Guys, I think this year, we have good inputs from Raaja family, Friends, Dheena, thulluvado ilamai, Ullam Kollai Pogudhe, Dumm Dumm Dumm. What could be the reason behind. Is it due to the fact that, ARR is busy composing for B'bay Dreams,just like ARR sneaked in , when IR was busy with Royal Philharmonic or is it really the bloom time for IR family, to just come out with good music. share your comments.

  I think its a combination of both the reasons..
  For whatever reasons, ARR seems less interested
  in TFM... and at the same time, more and more
  talented people are emerging out.... ARR is no
  more the uncrowned king of the youth music in tfm
  And IR's family getting a major share of the
  film music world.... hearing news about big shots using either KR or YSR (mani, BR) just leaves Shankar and Kadhir in ARR's camp. Wonder what
  KB would use next... ??

  And, with the reduction in the no of movies to "COPY CATS" Deva, SAR n Sirpi....TFM standards hav improved yet again....
  
  In the recent past MDs like YSR, KR, Bharadwaj, Harris Jeyaraj, Barani, VS has given very good numbers....n IMO....its a real good way to muv on....
  
  If DEVA/SAR/SIRPI r totally kicked out of TFM..then it wud b much more better....

  IR fought his way into the TFM. He had to undergo lots of hardships before he could make a mark on the TFM. ARR's story is also the same. He too struggled to come up. When some one fights it out and wins the battle of life then he reaches great heights. The two examples are right before your eyes. The case of KR and YSR are different. They had sweet life and had every thing at their favour. They didn't struggle even for 1% as their father did. Probably, they don't know what it means fighing it out and winning. So, I think that their comming nearer to IR or ARR is a distant dream unless they keep doing some thing extrodinary over the years to come.

  Deva Sir is doing music for more thant 20 movies now. Eventually one or two movies will become hit (like kushi in last year), he will get another set of 20 or 30 films, this will keep continue for atleast another 10 years.

  Agreed!! But what can KR, and YSR do if everything has been established for them already... U can't help it if people associate them with their father... I guess, the only way for them to prove themselves is by their music. And I feel they are doing a great job at that!!

  You are right. I think you know RD Burman. His father SDB was a great music director in hfm. When RDB came he too had this problem. But he kept on giving music with a difference. Like "Theesri manzil" and others. He is probably the first MD in HFM to do fusions of jazz and hindusthani. IF KR and YSR could do some thing like this and also maintain quality for a long time, then they can make a distinct mark in the history of TFM. Lets wait and see.

  RD Burman and SD Burman formulas work out in Hindi films where they consider only talents. Here in tfm, it is a happening that the star-children are not encouraged and cherished and the cause is still unknown.
  
  Prabu deserves more when his talents are compared despite his build. Likewise there are many singersons and MD sons who are patiently waiting for their turn, withstanding brickbats in the form of healthy and unhealthy criticisms.
  
  A humble approach by young Music directors will do good.

  GOOD MUSIC LISTENERS,
  Really YR&KR are strugling hard to enter to the top.It seems they work hard for that type of stuff,if you listen their latest songs 'DUM DUM DUM'and 'DHEENA ','THULLUVATHO ILAMAI','ULLAM KOLLAI POGHUTHEY'.
  You have to note an important point that their styles are so different.YSR is more with the western and KR is with more of 'INTELECTUAL&CLASSICAL'.
  Because the marketing and technological part plays the important role nowadays ,it is not the old days of IR or ARR.
  Untill there is a an improvement in 'RASANAI',anybody can score the TFM for the mass.

  It will be totally wrong to say that atleast KR doesn't inherit his father's skills. Also you cannot say that only people who struggle will give out good music. If that is so then it is a very subjective matter. You have to go deep into the way these people struggled etc. For instance IR struggled for his life as a whole but ARR had a little hard time getting a chance (I even doubt that, cause he had good time with jingles). For your information the following are the songs that KR composed himself in IR's music :
  
  1. Padiyanin rajjiyatthil (Pandian)
  2. Yeh Vanjikkodi (Ponnumani)
  3. Velakku vaippom (Aathma)
  4. Kannaley kadhal kavidhai (Aathma)
  or (little doubtful)
  Endhan Nenjil neengadha (Kalaignan)
  This KR told in an interview. Hear to these songs and you will really appreciate the orchestration work that KR has done. Nobody has ever reached the perfection wrt orchestration that IR has. Even MSV use to admire his skills. KR inherits that skill from his father.
  
  Also all the songs that he had composed in Ullasam are too good. Even IR had big expectations from KR but everybody will have their turn of good in an appropriate time. You say that YSR has not impressed so far then that may be acceptable but certainly not KR.

  Raveena Tandon has performed very well in Daman,did anyone of you actually see it
  Dont just go by what you read in papers alone.
  Nowadays everybody wants to make headlines and politics,to me i think the jurors had a big ego clash thats what it is.
  Personally speaking I thought IR will bag the best MD hmm ...
