Actors and Actress playing a Musical Instrument

We know some actors, whether they know how to play a musical instrument or not, they observe the actual musicians carefully and imitate them as much they can. I like Shivaji Ganesan and Kamalhassan in this matter very much.
In an interview saxophonist Kadri said that the way Prabu played sax was very good and it was very natural. Some actress can actually play musical instrument well. I've heard that Gowthami is very good in Piano. And also I've seen her piano playing in one movie. It was very nice.
But at the same time you must have noticed some actors do not imitate well. I'd like you to list some songs where the actors/actress play any musical instrument and pass comments on them. We'll have fun!

few examples:

Kanpona pokkile: MGR on Piano (Horrible)
Engeyum Epodhum: Rajinikanth on Bass Guitar (Interesting!)
Pudhucheri Katcheri: Kamalahassan playing many instruments (Excellent!)

Person who play Veena knows how bad our heroins play Veena. I do not know much about veena but I could make out that the way they play is horrible!!

  The song is very good though.. I think MSV used

  i think 'nagesh and guitar' in that movie are two comedians. i think that inconsistence was intentional. nagesh may/may not know how to act well for guitar but that movie and esp. that song was intentional. even he has a goddess called 'kambi kalaivaani' in that movie.
  
  prabhu with violin in the song 'thenmadurai vaigai nadhi' is horrible.
  
  but sivaji with veena, flute, mrudhangam, 'chitta-swaramist(!)' in the song 'paattum naanae bhavamum naanae are excellent, imho.

  'Happy Birthday' song sung by TFM artists drive music lovers mad...! point out one movie in which actors/actress has sung Happy Birthday song correctly? Why don't our MDs give atleast half hour practise before they sing 'Happy Birthday' song. Our directors never care about these kind of finer things!

  What about Kamal Hassan in Hey Ram! in the scene where he plays "Nee paartha..." on the piano? It should be remebered that the sound in "Hey Ram!" was recorded live, so does that mean Kamal Hassan really knows to play the piano?

  Ther are onlye a few people who convince you that they are indeed playing an instrument. Shivaji in thillana mohnambal and playing veena in 'pattum naane'. When i saw 'duet', i was convinced prabhu was playing it.
  
  Bar these rare acts, the rest are all stand-up comdies. Violin seems to be the eternal fav for abuse by our stars. Simran playing violin in Jodi was joke of 1999 and our dear Shah Rukh seems to molest the instrument in his Mohabattein (hyper-acting, not over!).

  I dont know about other actors
  but there musically knowledgeable actors in TF they are MGR(to some extent),Kamal Hassan,Sakrapani and Balaiyya but others i dont have any comments.
  Kamal does know to play keyboard.
  And also trained in Carnatic under Dr. Bala Murali Krishna . In one of his interview in SUN TV he even sang a very rare Varnam taught by his Guru . Kamal is the only actor I know of who takes extraordinary pain to make it sound real
  For example in Apporva Ragangal the way he plays Mirudangam is near perfect the chappu were so perfect with timing. I guess being professional dancer it comes to him.
  And also while playing keyboard most of the time his fingering his near perfect.
  The worst acting on instrument as far i have seen is for Rajini in the movie 'Raghavendar' its really horrible to watch him play Veena
  And another one i am reminded is too much over acting by Shivaji while playing Mirudangam in Mirudanga Chakaravarty ucks!!
  And one funny rather hilarious is to watch our heroes play piano really funny!!
  May be Naveen can tell who is decent in that side
