HI! Lets have a vote. Lets see who wins in this votes. It might be a male singer or a female. Just tell me your favourite male and female singer. And I will be counting from the beggining of this thread. When I'm getting no responses from you all, then I will anounce the results. One male and one female singer. OK. First i'll tell mine.

Hi! The leading male singer is SBP and leading female singer is S.Janaki.
Pls there are also Hariharan, Unnikrisnan, Shanker Mahadevan, Sadhana Sargam, Sujatha and lot singers. Pls compare them and list your favourite singer. OK.

A slight digression...

T N Seshan, you must change you wordings to say "probably 'mostly correct' uccharippu" because in most of PS' songs, I have found atleast one pronunciation error! SPB, SJ also may fall into this category but I am not sure if they do it in most of their songs because I don't usually hear them most! I think as someone said, Vani Jayaram pronounces correctly. But I feel sometimes she is not clear! You see, there's a distinction between clear pronunciation and correct pronunciation! While PS' pronunciation is always clear it's not always correct.

Mahalakshmi sang Yaaro yaarodi unnoadu purushan song from Alaipaayude. Ulunthu vedaikaiyile song was sung by Swarnalatha not Mahalakshmi.

uzhundhu vidhaikkayilE was sung by Swarnalatha and Srinivas. But, the kuRukku siRuthavaLE song (which is set to the same tune) was sung by Hariharan and MahAlakshmi.

Amma or Grandma....hardly matters...Generally Tamilians prefer Azhulutham, Thirutthamana, Voice which P. Susila always has...SJ's Keeeeeech Kural was earlier rejected but IR imposed that voice on TFM...My vote is always for PS asshe has very uniqe voice.. T.N.SESHAN.
