Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

nice to see your enthu. But if you keep posting so many messages then ARR fans will go away from this thread and they wont be able to view the wonderful info people are giving about the movie.
By the way todays ananda vikatan cover has pic of mottai madhavan. and an interview with mani.

I am dissapointed with Mani. Too much techno again. Meenaxi was a relief from KKS.
I cannot see ARR as a conductor as long as he persists with his techno stuff.
I hope a few more hearings will help.

anyway...it;s too much techno as Mani already said it's a Pucca Commercial film...u can't have music like Meenaxi in this one...

Just read Mani's interview(Part 1)in 'Ananda Vikatan'.He says the movie is about 3 people people:One of them believes the world has not done anything to him so he will not do anything tho the world(Madhavan/Abhishek),the other believes he can make a difference to soceity(Surya/Ajay Devgan),the last one says everyone should mind their work&the world will mind it's(Siddharth,Vivek Oberoi).Mani also says the title AE denotes the last tamil alphabet(3 dots in a triangle shape).Just like these dots are not independent of each other,the same way are these 3 guys.Check out when the vikatan site is updated or buy a print edition.

I have an excellent home theater system (650 watts) that gives superb sound when used with Dolby prologic.
I was listening to the music all day at office too (using headphones :-)).
You must agree that it was not what you expected.

well...in that case..i dunno why u don't like it kumar...
but seriously...on my first 2 hearings...i thot...ARR disappointed me...in fact I even tried to categorize it with Parasuram...
but then when i got the new earphone....the whole things sound so different...and it simply lifts my spirit...and now i'm totally hooked to it......
and regarding the traces of JB 007 theme...yea it's there..but thats the older 007 version..so dunno whether its added for a purpose or it just sounds like that coz of the Instrument (dunno what it is...but definitely some blowing instrument...)
