here are a few of pages. some of the songs are very good.
(1) http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/96/sridhar_seetharaman.html . watch out for "why not" and "6.00pm 1975-1985". the second one is really well done.
(2) http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/88/trv.html . "Is that all" is beautiful. will make you listen repeatedly. this kid [:-)] has potential. his "vandE mAtaram" is probably the best "pop" vande mAtaram that has come out recently :-))
(3) http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/48/rjay.html . listen to "african jungle theme", "dancing in the moon" (this is a good one but sounds like it was composed by srikanth :-)) ), "flowing with the river".
(4) http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/124/naveen_jebaraj.html . there are some pleasant surprises here :-)
enjoy.

All the above 4 guys are very talented artists,
my only prayer is
"deva should not flick from us and use it."
Guys take time to hear all the music,
frankly in a busy schedule week, we really work hard on every scores just for the sake of interest.
Thanks to newtfmpage.com for letting this thread to be alive.

Also at this time I like to mention about few "amature" or part-time lyric writers..
Udhaya and BB (yes our admin! here)
both of them are very talented.
for example
Udhaya came up with the lyrics for my peacock dance in about 2 hrs. Infact I did not request him for the lyrics, he heard it and wrote! it.
Peacock Dance
Pallavi:
mayakkamenna mandhaarai malarae
andhiyidam indru unakku
vayal veli annaandhu kidakku
mazhai innum vara irukku
(these are just first few lines,he has completed the song)...

fan,
I listened to your "peacock dance".I liked it and I thought it was good.
Now that you have the lyrics why dont you sing it or get someone else sing it.I think that would really enhance the composition.

on: Fri Nov 17 13:30:26 EST 2000
trend, restricted by 2 factors
1. I cannot sing!....my voice is not as good! as my hands:)
2. time factor!--to get a singer etc.
but it is sure a good idea i will find someone to do it for me.

swamiji:
send me the tune, i can write some lyrics to it too :-)).
srikanth:
it was a compliment to you :-)) there is a hidden criticism tho'. this is a serious tho. i find a lot of stylistic repetition (especially the rhythm) in your music. that's why i commented that that song was reminescent of you. i know it was composed completely by ravi.
friends:
please visit these pages, listen to their music and send them your comments.

What drove you guys to compose ? My friend, Ravi Ganesan, (of freespirits) says, he went to learn guitar, but later thought it is more fun writing guitar scores. With his rock influence and the passion for writing guitar scores, made him compose rock songs. I like this Kumar guy too ..rock in tamil :-) why not, right ??

honestly, i didn't like any of kumar padhmanAbhan's works when i visited his page last (few months ago). he has added a new song now "vAl pOchchu dum dum". this is a good song. i just wish he had a better singer (words are very unclear).

aruL..I think set yourself free is a very good Pink Floyd type song. Well..re: singing..I dont think he has good recording setup. That should help. Other than that he has just got an accent :-) Well .attitude is also part of the offering :-).

Hi guys,
I'm sure that some of our DF visitors can play natural musical instruments like violin, tabla, flute, piano etc. Shall we select a piece and practise, so that if it comes good, we can try playing any of the above mentioned pieces (if the composer permits) and give them a shock!! The participants will have a good feeling that they have contributed their skills to the song. Ofcourse, playing any instrument together with the orchestra is difficult. The coordination takes a lot of time. but it is more interesting than one person sequencing the whole song.
We'll use computers only for transfering mp3 files & final mixing.
just for a change :)
your comments please...

Vijay,
I bought Yamaha GX-76 (76 keys) few weeks back. It is less than $300. The tone quality is good for such a low price. This keyboard has more than 6 octaves (close to piano)

Swamiji,
Musicians who play Clarinet or Accordion are not getting much chance to perform or record their music. skilled artists can do lot of tricks which is difficult to immitate using a synth.
If we don't encourage them, they'll lose interest and sometimes stop practising. So if anybody is interested playing any acoustic intrument for a particular track in any of our compositions, I'd request our TFM page composers to encourage them by giving them a chance.
One of my friend's son who is 11 yrs old, played clarinet for a mozart piece and I did piano accompaniment.
you can check the piece at my home page. http://www.geocities.com/njebaraj
He is a beginner and we recorded the piece when we were practising. If you listen to the piece you'll notice the
difference between playing the piece in synth and the original clarinet. you can find that boy struggling to
take breath, natural flowing of sound etc. He was very happy when I told him that many people appreciated his music. That inspired him to practise tougher pieces.
