Why ARR has not given any songs to P.Suseela

Thought ARR has given chance to many new and old singers, why is that P.Suseela has not done any songs with ARR?

  "Kappeleri Poyachu" from Indian.

  In one of the interviews, in Ananda Vikatan, (interview conducted by Madhan), in 1998, ARR has spoken in full priase for PS and he even told that PS voice is the best he liked among female singers.
  
  Why PS not given anychance?
  
  Everybody will agree that though PS is great and her voice is no matching with anybody, PS in the recent years is not able to sing continuously (moochchu vangugirathu).

  As per many of ARRs interviews, his favourite singers are PS and Mohammed Rafi. he regrets not getting adequate chances to work with both these!

  PS still gives Bakthi paadalgal cassettes and she is okay...In these songs she is not same PS ...but still maintains her distinction...Probably..producers have resevations to use her for younger generation...TNS

  That's True when he is using Deteriorated Voices like Latha,SJ he can definitely Use PS's.

  She sang more than 3 hours in Susheela-50 programme. No breathing problem there. She kept herself away from the industry may be after '95. Now a days so many new MD's came and definitley they will be eager to work with PS atleast for one song. But, she is not showing any interest in film music now a days.
  Once in Bommai, may be in 1992 ARR told " I like all P.susheela songs".
  The tempo in her voice might have come down because of the age. But, still it is very sweet compared with any other singer.
  Eg. "naalai intha velai paarthu" -- recently I have heared it in "Imayathukku Anjali" programme.

  Recently Jamuna Rani came in Nayandi Dharbar
  She was able to talk freely but she struggled to sing and only air Came out of her mouth
  Same with that of Jikki
  
  But When PS came she sang aalyamaniin , unnai kan theduthey excellently as it was ..
  Her voice is still the same & sweet

  P.S...very highly talented singer with total perfection...Give her one hour in recording room she will reherse 100 times and bring her old magic voice...But no one is willing to take chance as she is nearing 70 which is not secret...and fearing to use her for young heroines...As such nofemale solo is recorded for moterly charecters...like old movies...presently no takers ....

  PS has already proved herself beyond doubt... if the present MDs dont use her, its their loss and not hers... moreover, in a time when melodies hv become scarce, PS's voice is better not to be heard underneath the jarring drumbeats and rhythms, period.

  She Can Perform Very Well but .. nowadays music plays more role than lyrics&voice ..

  raj - new MDs are willing to work with Janaki, lata too, yet u say their voices are terrible isnt it.Likewise someone else may feel it aboutt PS. Please dont take this as an offence to u. My intention is not to hurt u or ur sentiments regarding the legendary PS,SJ,LM at all.

  for new singers, they hv no choice but to sing the song when given a chance... but legends like PS, SJ, KJY hv made it a point only to sing songs that suits them.. and that too mainly with melody... they were singing all type of songs right from crap to classically perfect melodies which are everlasting... so there is no need for them to sing the same crap again.. they know that they hv an audience which is only for them.. so they care to be choosy... and thats the reason those singers now sing rarely....
  
  a perfect example will be the legend Shivaji Ganesan... not that he cant act or he cant perform that he chose to act only a few movies from the 80's... he is a legend... so he chose to act roles only which did justice to his talent... we still remember "Thevar magan" for his sterling performance... same with all legendery singers...
  
  just for a question's sake, can u imagine a PS or an SJ singing "Mala mala marudhamala" song? or a KJY singing a "Pettai rap"...?

  My thoughts: I don't think any MD is making a beeline for her now. It no way diminishes her greatness, but the fact is she and her voice has aged. This was very apparent in Manathai Thirufi Vittai when she appears (for the first time) on screen and sings Maalai pozhuthin mayakkathile, after there is a power cut and her original song is interuppted.
  You can really hear the difference. :)
