Swami, I feel that keep your mouths shut was highly appropriate. If it is ok for people to dishearten people by talking irrelevant rubbish like about the Koovam, I think you should take it up with them.
Also Arrfan, don't get me wrong, I am also a great fan of IR so because I am taking a stand for ARR it is not necessarily a stand against IR.Sorry if I offended anyone

dear mr.a.rahman-i was happy to note your observations in the interview with kumudham and would like to know when you are releasing the bharathiar album and your forthcoming projects in tamil-pl.reply at your earliest convenience.

I learnt a lesson from AR Rehman's interview. What a hard working personality. Its very very rare that a person sleeping 3 hours per day able to maintain good health and continue to give good music. He says he stopped crying or laughing 10 years back. Surely he has come forward in life due to persistent hardwork. Its a lesson for students like me even though we r in different fields. I request ARR not to leave Tamil Cine field and wish him to give more and more melodious and rythmic songs (he calls it as marriage). hats off ARR!!!

I felt the same way too. I remembered a
Zen story. Someone asks a master, how to
become a great painter. He replies, first
become a great person and then just paint.

dear ar rahman,I simply love your music compositions and the way your music and vocals are balanced(kudos to Mr Sridhar).I am a full time singer in Malaysia and one of my dreams are to work with you,If Im blessed to do so!I love tamil music but I personally feel that your music is the only one that is worth buying a CD;this is because of your superb sound engineering.pls contact me if you are free, which would be very unlikely but I sincerely hope that you will!
may the Almighty bless you and keep the magnificent creative energy flowing inside you!!!

Either there's overwhelming expression of love from one that makes me think, "Please get a room" or there's anger from the pit of the stomach about another's post that makes me think, "Please take it to the streets".
Either way, this is abuse of a great medium meant for discussing, understanding music.

Hi
The interview with A R R was simply superb ! However, the translation was in (somewhat) poor English, plus the page was not very well presented. While I certainly appreciate the efforts taken to translate this, please give some more attention to Language and Presentation of the content.
Thanks
Anand

Ram,
Your wish about ARR giving a carnatic concert in Keyboard, is really hilarious. Probably you
are requesting him to get inspired more by the carnatic compositions. May be he will have
uditnarayanan and some other north indian
singers sing carnatic compositions in his
music soon and people will get emotional that
they have never heard music like that before and
ARR will get another award for that !!!
Also Sachin hasn't been in very good form recently. That doesn't mean you have to compare
him with ARR. May be you like Azhar and so that
is the reason for comparing Sachin with ARR !
Poor Sachin !
Anyway your posting is really hilarious if
nothing is taken seriously and you have been
honest enought to admit that people will find
you funny. Thanks for that.

Hi Rahman
your interview has enabled me to understand you as a fine person. Inspite of your great success you are so humble and simple. May be because of these qualities God has blessed you with so much success at such a young age.Iwish and pray for greater success to you in the years to come. May God bless you and your family

Guys, ARR has no time to read this page or the forum at the moment, I have asked him. He's way too busy, as he's shuttling b/w finishing his TFM commitments and HFM ones too. He's often recording in London and also in US and Canada from time to time.
No point addressing comments to him here! Please trust me on this one. If something meaningful catches my eye, I sometimes print it out and give it to him when he's in London.
RAVI/BB: Most comments on this page have nothing to do with his work, they are just person attacks on him. Please police this, as there is no real discussion going on here, certainly nothing about his future work or current releases.

SO much for tolerance! Your remark is as much abusive of the medium as the others.
Please save us the policing and let people feel free to post their views, however overwhelming an expresion oflove it might be!

geetha: can you please ask him about the software/hardware he is using for his mixdowns, they are so perfect balance!, how the hell he gets that quality. I know partially that he is mac person ?.

Amma,
Quite an interesting perspective you have on tolerance. I should let people say what they feel and shouldn't police them as that would be intolerant huh? If you were an editor would you say, "Don't edit any of the articles, reporters need their freedom—brevity, focus, the issue-in-hand all of these don't matter." If you were a cop would you say, "No speeding tickets for anybody for if I pull somebody over, I will be hurting traffic too." To equate freedom of expression in a public forum to saying whatever one feels is just as absurd as the above instances.
Anyway, to address a problem is not adding to it. At one time I was volunteering to clean up the exchanges in this forum just like many other routine participants. I don't claim superiority or righteousness over others, I only want the place that I frequent to be clean, fun, and civilized. But now it is far removed from the level of exchanges this forum once enjoyed, and so I'm far removed from most of the forum as well. Well, I did enjoy your direct, sincere post and felt it deserved a response. Have fun, I won't stop you.

Kiru and fan,
When I visited Madras about a month ago, a reliable person there informed me that Rahman uses Digidesign Pro Tools Mix Plus (on Mac) and other software from Q-Sound for the mix. (Pro Tools Mix Plus starts at $10,000)
Of course, this may be only some of the audio and MIDI tools in Rahman's sound arsenal.
