  I shouldnt bring politics down here but music is being manipulated by it. Rajini is a selfish person who makes his fans(pls guys get a life) to wait and suffer and die while he will cash everything and become more rich. I dunno why these ppl respect him like he was MGR. This guy says the ppl who buy coupan only could go theatre(if this is not true then blame the tamil news sources, but still these ppl try to cash every buck possible from the poor fan). Real artists like Rahman should avoid 'being sold' by these morons.
  Baba the stupid scumbag movie i will not even watch but dieing to listen the songs for mere ARRahman

  I support your comments. I am moreof an ARR fan than a RK fan. So please dont include me in the fanatics (HCRK Fan) list.
  I am in the US and have to some how get the cassette. I do know cooledit and have mastered audio myself, but refer my post, all i said was I need the cassette to rip to the computer!!! or else I have to wait for the cd to rip the audio files to the computer which I can then convert to MP3 format using another software.

  C'mon, the last thing we need is a stupid ARR vs RK bullcrap. RK has the right to take the necc measures to ensure tat not only himself, but the other artistes and financers involved in tis movie get the income they deserve for their efforts. It is a known fact tat he made huge losses for some previous movies despite their huge propularity. He is not here to do social service by letting crooked dealers get away by providing fans wit pirated copies. Wat in the world is wrong wit this? I'd call it a smart move. And he is not going to get much support from the current TN govt either, so he might as well do wat he can wit the little power he has.
  I call upon all genuine fans of both ARR and RK to support the move. We have waited for 3 years for tis. Another mth or two does no harm.
  Kum Laden, someone taking the initiative to ensure tat he gets the salary he deserves or the profit tat's rightly his, can't be called selfish. Jus bcos he earns more than u or me doesnt mean he is greedy.

  where did u hear tat raja? shudnt tat be "a family of four cannot go to the movie within the first 8 days, without buying 4 cassettes." I fully support RK's move to release the cass before the cd. but how can giving a coupon for a cass (tat being a bonus) work against a fam from watching the movie tog. Even if this coupon is not presented, a fam of four will struggle for days to get to watch the movie in an overpopulated state. In wat way is giving the coupon goin to stop them? Maybe i'm missing something? They'll have to wait awhile to watch the movie. I know of fams tat had to wait for weeks to catch Jurassic Park. Tat doesnt mean that the crew behind JP is evil, selfish and greedy. They jus cudnt help the huge popularity the movie enjoyed. And I never heard any complains when freebies or sneak preview tickets were given away (tat the rest of the winner's fam cudnt get to watch the movie). I think these people shud jus stop whinging for every damn thing. I think those who get upset for such small things mus be the real true-blue HCRK Fans. Tho I'm not in TN, I dont think I'd have complained if I were there.

  WN is right. After the first 8 days anyone can watch it and it is like ususal. And that too, for the first 8 days, it only says that cassette buyers are getting a preferential treatment over non-cassette buyers, which means others too can go watch the movie, but their probability of getting a ticket is very low.
  
  And to C~P's point, no one who wants to clearly hear all dialogues will go see a RK film in the first 15, no even 30 days for that matter, as his fans create too much hulla-gulla during the show to the inconvenience of the others watching the movie. I dont know if any of you have, but I saw Arunachalam 1) first day first show, 2) during the second week and then finally after 2 months.
  I should say that I did not hear dialogues well in the first two cases.
  
  Anyway, wait for a little more time (add to the 3.5 months), and we should be able to enjoy both the songs and the movie itself.

  I dont understand. When people get the coupon and explain at the counter they are the family who bought it showing their famil members, the preferential treatment of buying tickets can be extended to whole family instead of one. In fact, by doing this, it will be like encouraging families to see. The tickets can be sold in a bunch. Of course the required condition is, that there is no misuse.
