  TR actually comes out with his tunes by just humming. He doesn't play it in a musical intrument like others. (This is what I heared from TFM Industry guys).
  
  For a man with this kind of limited amount of exposure to music compising, he really did a very good job during 80s.
  
  I love his following numbers

  TR is also a gret lyricyst.he wrote great songs in oru thalai ragam,rayil payanangalil,some songs like vasanthakalangal,oru pon manai,sollamathaane,etc etc.

  did u see the set for Viralu Visilu?? .... i mean etho "Pi" (=22/7! :D) shaped-la golden colour-la somethin.....athukku nadula karadi kutti kuthikkum :)
  he has also tried out Simbhu Rap!! :) ..... like the one in Baba .... goes like...
  Simbhu....the coolest guy....Simbu....bla bla :))

  I saw this movie two weeks back and wanted to put down my heart-felt review in this forum.But could not get into the archives page.Now some well-wisher has done that!Thanks.
  
  TR has done a wonderful job! -for Chimbu!
  Thanthai MagarkatRum uthavi ....The story is very unique and is a never-told-before one.Only TR can manage such stories.Though there are claims that he had recycled Uyirullavari Usha story i beg to differ.This one is bloody unique.
  
  The movie has Seetha and Prakashraj who emote well and deliver TR s meaningful dialogues with punch and flavour.I suggest Prakashraj s name for the best supporting actor Oscar.Prakash who has redefined preversion in Tamil cinema ,from the great school of KB is sure to be a run away winner.
  Wait..how I could i forget TR s cameo "Dada Vakil role" for the award.Though my son went pale and needed immediate medical attention after seeing TR with a bandana and tilak,TR carried himself ..a whooping 195 kgs,in style.
  
  Songs..Viralu-Visilu has the best lyrics and beat and Chimbu dances are out of the world....modern world to be precise.TR Ilakiya s costume designs reminded me of the hay days of great Ramarajan.Banu Athaiya,Manish Malhotra must be shivering by now.
  
  How can one miss the naughty Kuralarasan?Not since Kamal during Kalathur Kannamma days we have seen such a powerful author-backed performance by a kid. His pranks are uniquely designed by TR.
  
  Chimbu ...Magan thanthaikatrum uthavi ..has put his heart and sole ..oh!soul into this venture.Chimbu is a fan of legendary Jackie-Chan whichi pretty evident in the fight scenes and in the end where the making of the movie is shown.Poor JC!He has now to compete with both Jet Li and Chimbu.Chimbu is fan of Rajini too and he makes sufficient hand gestures supported by re-re-recording of "whoo..shhhhh" to immolate..oops!emulate Rajini.
  
  Nalini s powerful acting takes the movie to a different plank.Ably supported by Ganga..the poor man s Mohan who was actually a poor man s Kamal of the 1980s.
  
  Charming charmie...i was bowled i say.Such a potential for someone so young.I think she was born under the "Veetukkoru Maram valarpom" scheme.
  
  The song "Paarkatha pothu" is still riging in my ears and ENT specialist has suggested this to Saddam to create noise pollution which could create havoc among the GIs.
  
  Not since Kadhalikka Neramillai and Michael MKR i have seen a rip roaring and ourageously hilarious movie.When i told my wife that i wanted to see the movie again see said,"oh!In that case i would like to see a lawyer"- I saved my marriage by switching off the VCR.
  
  TR Sir,Ivanga kidakaranga!I expect you next venture (9 Ezhuthu peyarudan) with Chimbu in the lead with songs like "Viralu Visilu".

  Just today morning I asked my room attender ro return the Vedio cassette to shop. For three days I have been seeing this movie in bits and pieces...could not sit thru for more than 30 minutes...Still I have not completed seeing it...
  
  Oh..god what a lousy movie...A great speciman for young aspiring film makes to learn how not to make a film like this...
  
  Did you notice the place where Chimbu stops for quite a few seconds to make his dad's name and interval sign display....They could have displayed a still, instead Chimbu suddenly stops ..blinking con the camera...(actually..I kept on blinking ..as to know what had happened to the VCR...)
  
  So ameturistic..that even Dada Sahab palkhe would have done better things those days with limited technology...
  
  This film is a great shame to the film media itself...I know TR is very talented and I am amoung the people who wish to see him suceed..but TR of this kind is worth to be kicked out....
  
  A bad launch by a father to his son...poor Chimbu.

  But how come Chimpu manages to get singing offers from Rehman,Yuvan Shankar Raja,Iman?
  
  His voice is terrible and immature.The April Mathathil song ,picturisation are lewd,lousy and irritating.
