  Aruvi's earlier posting at this thread is earning my support too!! I am getting sickened to see other MD songs' requests appearing over here. Let me clearly state that this thread was started primarily for Isaideivam Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja and would like to keep it that way. I would like to keep this thread safe from skirmishes, unsavory discussions etc that might arise due to the mix-up of other MDs contributions and song-requests.......
  
  I fully endorse the earlier views of Aruvi. Hope other webmasters would try to address the issues raised by Aruvi, as keeping mum over the issue would not sort out the issue.

  Rex why bother about request from other MD's.... see once in a while some do that without intention i believe.... just ignore it, people will get to know that this place is not for other MD's....
  
  and there's a song in "Ponnu Orrukku Pudhusu" - "veetukorru maganaa pola vegu padu patta usuraaa".... s "sogaaa" song by IR.... a real good one, but make u turn into a very "sogaa" mood.... i got this in a cassette.... but man the quality of recording, well i dont want to tell more on it.... if anyone of u guys have this song (a good one, well it may be very difficult but) can u upload it pls....

As far as song quality is concerned, if I do not have that song with me, you can go ahead and mail me that one to my address....I will really work hard to refurbish it so that it sounds good. To give you some insight, I am trying to give you the feedback of Sree, Concordia Univ, Canada who helped me a lot by recording the BGMs and mailing it to me.

  So don't worry about that. If it is a real rare piece, and if I do not have that with me, I will let you know and you can send it to me. Man, if you hear to the original version of any of the BGMs on tape, probably you would not even enjoy them that much because of the very poor quality which is but natural due to the heavy constraints we face during recording (all bgms are from nastily damaged video tapes...).

  Why dont you record for us a small clip of the original BGM without upgradation and the same clip after rework. May be we can learn something from that. Dont forget to tell us what you did to get that quality.

  I have done that before.....and had posted here. Sure, I will do that for you once again. No probs. I will put one piece from KARPOORA MULLAI, for which I used the noise reduction operator 11 times!! In fact, Sree, MSK, and other people could really send me such comments, because they were the people, who had recorded the cassette from the video tape and had sent it to me....So that is the reason they could appreciate the difference very much.
  
  Please check back here for your request. I will encode and put the bgm without any refurbishment here for the same track....

  Went to your back ground page some time back. Was a real trip down the memory lane. The Mouna Ragam pieces were just great. By the way why is Kaaril endhan geedham listed as from Aur Ek Prem Kahani. Isnt it from Johny. And the next two ... ditto. Meanwhile may be you can try to get a hand on the bgm of Pallavi Anupallavi the first movie of Manirathnam. The BGM was real good. Can you. Nice site yours.

  And one more. You had the track of Veedu in the BGM page. I was under the impression that veedu had only the music from Nothing but wind or How to name it and IR did not even sit for a rerecording of this movie. Am I wrong?

  1. Mouna Raagam pieces were NOT encoded by me. I will re-encode them and will refurbish them as high quality files and will be uploading it shortly.
  
  2. Kaatril Endhan Geetham is the original...but that BGM that you are seeing at my page was remastered by Raaja for the hindi movie AUR EK PREM KAHANI.
  
  3. I will try my best to get PALLAVI ANUPALLAVI from some other sources.
  
  4. The BGMs of VEEDU were directly from HOW TO NAME IT.......Since they were the same, I just named it as VEEDU......since many other people do not know that it was the same number from HTNI that appeared as BGM in Veedu....nothing great than that!!
  
  Thanks for your comments.....Other sensational BGMs like ATHIRADIPADAI, NETTRIKAN, SINDUBAIRAVI, etc are being encoded right now and will be slowly uploaded in the next few days to my site. Enjoy!!

  NOISE Vs. WITHOUT NOISE Demo
  
  As per the request of some fans of my page, I am once again showing a demo of how a poorly encoded, noise file would sound vis-a-vis a properly, thoroughly and patiently encoded file.

  Listen to this file carefully! There will be a continuous "hiss"ing sound which will irritate you, should you hear the file using headphones, or even with a loud volume. The musical instruments would sound awful, with no proper tuning, and should you listen to a RANDOM PLAY of files with such quality, you would go crazy!!

  This file would not only have the "hiss"ing sound, but would also have the musical instruments sound very good. Since, I have given some bass boost, the percussion instruments as well as the wind instruments would sound too good. In the previous file, the flute interludes would have been awful....but notice the difference here..... Also the violins would not have been so sharp in the first file, but the violins would be very sharp in the second file......etc...etc....Maybe Mrs. Suresh, who did the recording can appreciate the difference more glaringly....
  
  You can appreciate the difference more, should you listen to such poorly encoded files for a long time. That is the single reason, why my site registered a thumping reception right from day 1, bcoz, I do not wish to go by the numbers, but by the quality of the numbers that appear in my page. Encoding BGM tracks are so so painstaking, bcoz they are all recorded from very badly damaged video tapes.
  
  As regards to the ways and means that I achieve this.....well, it is not that easy to explain.....However I have done many chats and have conferred those details with other webmasters of this forum...In fact, yesterday I directly removed the noise from GOLDWAVE for one of the webmasters located in the northern part of US using NETMEETING.
  
  I am kind of too occupied right now. But will try to put things together as a document and will try to help others too on how to do noise removal. But I am always ready to help anyone with technical questions on the subject......
