what happened to ranjit barot?

Do u remember Ranjit Barot, MD of VIP. He had done well in that film but why he hasn't scored
for any film after that? where he gone?

  Yes., We do remember him for his excellent song 'Minnal oru koodi'., :-)
  I read somewhere that he joined ARR after VIP and he was doing rhythm programming for him. (You will find his name in credits for 'Mercuryp pookkaL' song from Ratchagan)
  Ranjit is the MD for the latest hindhi movie 'Fiza' along with Anu Malik. He has scored two song numbers and According to the director of the movie, Handled almost complete BGM Score.

  I read in today's Hindu or ET (I don't remember exactly), that RB is the next MD of MR's production. Some other new director is acting in that film. Maddy and Jothika are the pair.

  After VIP, they released an album with Bharath-Kanika (Vandhe Maatharam sequel). Not sure how hit it was. Seems they were working with some HFM MDs as assistants. Read it somewhere in TFM threads. Welcome back Ranjith-Barrot.

  This guy Sivakumar, who is going to direct the movie, studied Mass Communication here in the US at the University of Florida. Very talented. Some of his stories have appeared in Anandha Vikatan etc.
  
  I think his first choice of MD for this movie was IR -- when he refused it was KR. I remember reading KR's interview somewhere that this was one of the movies on his plate. Something seems to have happened in the interim, and Ranjit Barot has replaced KR.

  Ranjeet Barot is now the Ghost-composer of all Anu Malik's scores in Hindi.
  
  Rahul, Aks, Yaadein.... the list goes on.
  Listen to the songs and you will know these are NOT Anu Malik's. Also I got this information from a reliable source!
  
  Wonder why he can't stand on his own and not let parasites such as AM take credit for his work!!! Is it just the money?
  
  He is a better musician than the Sirpis and the SARs... wonder why he hasn't been offered much in TFM, in spite of a good score in VIP?

  He is a better musician than the Sirpis Hmmm. Some how I believe we are very biased against Sirpis and Devas. Don't you think it is unfair to compare a MD with one film to Sirpi? Sirpi gives hit films consistantly. Kannan Varuvaan and Kunguma Pottu Goundar are recent ones and they are pretty good. Let us don't undermine their hard work and success.

  I think you missed out the interview given by Ranjit. He admitted he is doing all the backend work for Anu. He has done it for ARR too. In KK, two songs are done by Ranjit and not by ARR. Basically they give the melody to Ranjit and he fills it up with the music. So why just scold Anu even ARR does it.

  I am not sure about that. But this guy has been doing Rhythm programming for rahman for sometime. He has done so many movies with him. This is the first time he is claiming of such credit. May be rahman didn't give enough credit?? who knows!
