  No, Mani Sharma is not a Tamilian. He is the most
  prolific MD in Telugu Film Industry today.
  He is always the first choice of any movie right
  from the numero uno Chiranjeevi starrer to the
  normal actors. This guy is doing a pretty good
  job and as he told in some interview, draws great
  inspiration from the Maestro Illaiyaraaja and the
  style of his songs totally resembles that of Raja.

  How does it matter man? The music is terrific. Some of the songs, particularly the instrumentation, is very good. A new wave in tamil music. two songs are from his popular telugu. I head he is a craze in telugu. music does not have boundaries. so I like his music.

  It is interesting to note that there is no song by Hariharan or Vijay for a Vijay film after a long time.Looks like for once he didn't try to influence his choice.

  I just love the... "Manida manida ithu thaan neethiyo?" its so soft... along with 'mellinamae'... the minnalai was is really nice... just like some poetry... NOt to forget kaathal oru katchi.. by K.K!!!! his voice is just awesome in this...

  Both Manisharma and Vidyasagar are Telugu natives. Vidyasagar scored for about 50-60 films in Telugu and one for Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi with impressive songs!!! But could n't stabilise here. He moved on to Tamil eventually and rest is known to u.
  
  Initially, in Telugu he was humiliated for following the tracks of Raaja and cleverly bringing out Raaja's tunes in a new attire, but unfortunately not admitting that !!!
  
  Whereas Manisharma knows that it is the all pervading Rev. Raaja's music that these modern MDs are treading on. It's apparently the good attitude of Manisharma that he has stated in many interviews that "Raaja's music flows in his blood".
  
  Raman Gogula has described Raaja as "The most phenomenal MD in India".
  
  Ask any MD in Telugu, he will admit that his source of inspiration is none other than our Raaja.

  So at last the songs of SHAH JEHAN r out.....how cool......n believe me,when
  i first heard the songs,i thought,hiya is these songs gonna be hits for
  vijay????R they atcually nice????Somehow the music sounds odd....n on...
  But i heard it 3 times yesterday,n 3 times today,over n over n i have fell
  in love with the songs.....THEY R GONNA BE SUPER DUPER HITS....N MANI SHARMA
  IS GOING TO GO PLACES....The songs r so melodious...n sometimes u have the
  feeling it doesn't sound like a tamil song,but its all beautiful
  tunes....just great!!Here's my view on each song:
  
  1.Melliname-THE BEST ONE...i just lovee this song
  its sooooooooooo melodious.....HARISH
  RAGAVENDRA has done a great job...his
  voice is superb in this song....u
  guys must listen to this song to
  believe me...!
  2.May madham-This can be considered as a good
  song too.....it fast at times n
  slow at times too....melodious
  too......music is cool n devan's
  combination with sujatha is cool!
  3.Achcho-Another one of my favourites....real
  cool song...its quite a fast number..
  n udit narayanan has done a fabolus
  job...his pronoucing of tamil words
  r so clear n beautiful unlike other
  hindi singers who sing in tamil songs
  4.Minnalai-One of the popular numbers...real
  beautiful number....have to hear twice
  n u will realize its a fantastic song
  great music n nice tones...!
  5.Kadhal oru-My fav. too....GREAAAAAAAAAAT SONG.
  Guys u gotta listen to this number
  its a single number...only male
  singing....I LOVE THIS SONGS SO
  MUCH...it just makes me wanna start
  dancing!!N guys,the singer is K.K..
  I've fallen in love with him too....
  woow what a voice....has he sung b4

  6. n 7.-The other 2 songs SARAKU VECIRIKEN
  (MEENA N VIJAY DANCING), N MANIDA CAN
  pass for good songs.....notin that great
  but good....n some might like MANIDA
  after all...!
  
  So thats my review....n to all music lovers,take my this advice....LISTEN TO
  IT AT LEAST 4 TO 5 TIMES OVER N OVER N U WILL LOVE THEM...AS FOR THE FIRST 5
  SONGS,I THINK SOME OF U WILL JUST FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM ON THE FIRST

  what a stupid question: whether he is tamil or telugu?
  
  SPB is telugu, S Janaki is telugu, suseela is telugu.
  
  music does not have boundaries. what is important is whether he can deliver. whether he gives good original soulfull music.
  
  if not what will be left is Deva and his disciples will rule.
  
  all the songs are soulful and very melodious. the lyrics, instrumentation and the melody - very original. he is here to stay.

  Is it just me or does the Manida song remind you of Oru Mani Adithtal?I heard all of the songs,but I was not as impressed as everyone else. I liked MS in Unnil Ennai Kanden,but I wasn't as impressed in Shahjehan unfortunately.But I do think that MS is definately a very good addition to TFM and is better than HJ and Deva. He can be classed along with YSR, KR and Vidysagar.
