New lyricists inspired by Vairamuthu

oflate most of the new song writers seem to be really inspired by Vairamuth style of writing. Not many differerny styles out there these days .. isnt ?

  i think all the lyricists moved out of india. i haven't heard an album with good lyrics in a long time. all we have is this new "boys"-type lyric writing that's really dumb.
  
  i just saw kaadhal kirukkan and one of the background lyrics is:
  
  "ki-ki-ki-ki-ki-ki-ki-kirukkan, ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-kaadhal kirukkan."
  
  and even more famed movies have really bad lyrics. take virumaandi. one set of lines is:
  
  "unn appanum aatthaalum,
  aatthu karai oram,
  sethu kedakkaangalaam."
  
  ("your father and mother,
  by the river,
  are lying dead.")
  
  it has no relevance to the plot, is sung happily, and is so stupid. where'd all the lyricists go?
