  In en aNNan there is a TMS-PS version of the song 'nenjam uNdu nErmai uNdu Odu rAjA'. It is a half song that comes at the end of the movie.

  Dear SK, After a long gap....How are you?
  
  Yes SK, you brought it. Last Saturday, En aNNan was shown in K-TV. I started watching from the scene wherein MGR and JJ tease/cheat Cho, whose name is "poochi" :-)). At the end & after the Kalyanam of the lead pair, they climb up the Kudhirai vandi and started singing "nejam undu". I could not believe that it was a duet. Both if tjem sing together only. It was nice to hear that duet. Unfortunately it is not available in cassette.
  
  Similarly there are quite a few songs, especially those at the end of teh movie, are not available in tape/record. Pschh :-(

  There is a song "GeTTiKKaariyin Poyyum Purattum Thakku Mukku Dhikku Thaalam" by TMS-PS.(possibly MGR movie - MSV) Any idea about the film and MD?

  Ram, It is from Kannan en kaadhalan. I think it is a solo by TMS (not sung with PS). Music is MSV. This is also a music mazhai film where all songs are great and hit, esp that "MinmiNi-yai kaNmaNi-yaai kondavaLai" by TMS with LRE's "chacha oh mamma oh pappa ohhh".

  Thanks. I have the recording of this song (inadvertently recorded !).It is a duet by TMS-PS. TMS sings the major portion of this song and PS joins in for a few lines towards the end.
  
  And yes, MinMiniyai Kanmaniyai KondavaLai is a terrific song !Good lyrics by Vaali and great music by MSV !

  "GeTTiKKaariyin Poyyum Purattum" and "MinmiNi-yai kaNmaNi-yaai kondavaLai" are from `Oli Villakku', not from Kannan en Kaathalan.
  Kalai,
  Add `Anthaman Kaithi' under MD Govindarajulu.
  CSJ was the MD for `Naam', not Gnanamani.

  SK: Do you have the song "KaNNedhire oru veLLi nila Kai aruge oru vaNNa pura" from the film "Doctoramma"? I think the music was by MSV. It is a very delightful and playful song for Manjula enjoying with her baby. This is the only film AVM Rajan and Manjula acted as Jodi. Other film they acted together was Amman AruL (father and daughter??).

  Just wanted to confirm one point that I have been curious about. There is nobody to beat PS, when it comes to clarity & pronunciation. We also know that her spoken Tamil is not so good.One wonders how she was able to render thousands of Tamil songs with crystal clear pronunciation - she herself attributes this quality of hers to God's grace. Can PS read Tamil ? Does she write down the Tamil songs in Tamil or Telugu?

  SPB said in an interview that the only singer who have the Lyrics in Tamil is PS
  
  It's long since her notes are in TAmil while SPB,SJ have that written in Telugu while VJ is convenient in noting down in Hindi
  
  PS confirmed that the lyrics she keeps is in tamil

  She speaks tamil very casually , cracking jokes, passing good comments etc... But, I could feel the difference in interviews.
  Her malayalam pronounsation is also very good while singing. But she cant speak malayalam. same in kannada also..

  I have the doctoramma song you refer to. That's the song in which mAmA Asokhan sings "bamchikka bamchikka bam" to the child. I will make the song available via the PS forum (Rare Songs series) and the psusheela.org web page. Are you sure music is by MSV? I am not very sure.
