YSR's Dheena starring Ajit should be coming out soon. Has anyone any info about it?Also what are his other upcoming projects?

  It is high time to shut down this site for a short period of time...something like a vacation.(2 months)
  
  Too much trash talk is going on.....and

  I strongly object! I believe Dheena is an improvisation after Poovellam Kettuppaar from Yuvan! In fact, there are no interlude repetitions and dryness compared to PK! All songs in Dheena are both catchy + situational simultaneously maintaining the flow!
  
  In fact Music has saved the fil Dheena, that is what the Press and Audience Say!

  Initially, I felt Dheena's music is not upto that point. After 2 or 3 hearings, I wish to hear it again and again. especially, sollammal thottu, nee illai endraal.

  If dheena's music is no.1 and it is what Tamil Public like, by Gods, where has TFM come to?
  If one judges the quality of music by box-office records, then from the link (from IP 146.186.113.254), no doubt Thenali's medicore(?) music is a far 5th compared to the enchanting music of Dheena, inspiring music of Friends, mind-blowing Vanchinathan(by KR!) and of all people SAR's Priyamanavale...
  
  AR Rahman has too many enemies and they seem to haunt him everywhere from message forums to box office records...

  travis we need not have to give this much comment for the top albums listed by that site. i think the list is prepared based on audio sales, at present, that too based on some shops(imho).
  
  remember thenali's audio came long back and it is not considered as one of the bests of ARR. even audio sale of one of the bests of ARR are outsted by another release of ARR, so can we claim that to be bad? tell me, at present, cassettes of indian or thenali which one is moving fast? thenali..is the answer, right? do u think thenali is better than indian?
  
  imho minnalae is a better album than dheena. but it has got position 2 which is ok for me because there might not be much difference in number 1's count and number 2's count and especially for albums like these. had minnalae been pushed beyond thenali then we can claim that there is something fishy.
  
  but i feel that there is fishy about position of priyamanavalae :-))

  Thank You. At least, you got me right. I dont believe in these box office records... But with some people bragging that dheena is in top of list and associated ireelevancies, I just wanted to point out a simple fact except for minnale and thenali there isnt one movie which has escaped the mediocrity of today's TF music and I included the chart becoz it just suffices to my view that quality is not there if an album is no.1 in the charts.

  I am not against YSR coming up in life. If i met up with him personally, I am sure I cant match half his wits. But is that the point? What I wanted to emphasize was that dheena music is less inspiring, in my opinion, that poovellam kettupar. Though the latter didnt itself set any standards is irrelevant, At least he made a sincere attempt. I am frustrated that just bcoz of just YSR (I dont know what u guys think, but I believe most) are expecting to see a rejuvenated raja in him. Well, let YSR just come up with some quality stuff that lets u sit up and ask who is this guy(in a good sense!), forget about rahman, like his father. Of course its true that he is young and all. Fine and so is Bharadwaj, who in my view, did a wonderful job parthen rasithen. and same goes to Harris Jeyaraj. Didnt these people came out of obscurity ONLY bcoz of the quality they delivered? Doesnt YSR, coming from a musical-genii family, ought to have got this right? For all the glitter that surrounds his family, he should be the best musician in these(, of course second only to his bro! ) times.

  Travis i beg to differ from you with respect to Friends and Thenali. IMHO Friends is slightly better than Thenali ofcourse, i have a soft-corner to IR's music. but i sincerly wanted to compare these two with respect to my music taste (not with respect to their(albums') stuff, because im zero in classical knowledge). as per my comparison Friends is better than thenali.

  I agree I was hasty and wrong in including friends to mediocrity. I am sorry, me being a arr fan, expected. Lets forget about thenali and friends since you cant convince me that thenali isnot as good as friends and the same way I cant do the vice-versa.
  
  Returning to the topic, what do u think of dheena's music? You said Minnale is your fav... lets see what others have to say.

  Dheena is the worst album i heard recently. YSR tried to copy ARR but in vain. Soon YSR will sit along with his father IR and chase flies in his house in Pannapuram.

  First of all thanks for closing the bold :-)
  
  I know there is a hidden-smily after your statement I was hasty and wrong in including friends to mediocrity. Its ok man. As you said we cannot(and don't have to) convince either of the other as long as we could appreciate the goodie in our not-so-favourite MD's products.
  
  As far as Dheena is concerned, I like one song that is vathhikucchi song. I liked it in the first time when i heard it in the theatre. I think it is some mexico-calypso musical stuff. But definitely a very good trial. Others did not impress me much.
  
  Minnalae is similar to Dheena as far as my liking goes. I mean, Vaseegara is a very good song and others fade under its power. But IMHO other songs of Minnalae are slightly better than other songs of Dheena and Vaseegara is better than vathhikucchi. These two MDs are budding. Hence altogether their work is good. Lets wait and see how they are performing in future.

  Thats it.. My cover is blown... indeed am a fan of rahman and I am proud to be so.. rather than listen to silly stuff just for the sake of being the 'different' kind....Mediocrity (as u call it) of Rahman , my dear, is still dizzying heights that the other music directors day-dream to achieve...
  and thenali is in way medicore by any standards.... vaasame and porkalam are just examples.

  Enjoying Music is purely subjective. There is no end debting any particular album is mediocre or not. The one sounds bad to you might be good to me. There is no common ground for that. To IR fans, ARR is a mediocre MD. And obviously for ARR fans, whoever comes next going to be mediocre. It is just a cycle and simple truth. If you are proud about ARR, so be it. I am proud of whom I like and what I like. If you think today's TFM is mediocre, I would say ARR is the reason for bringing TFM to this level. If you can't digest others' albums topping the chart, don't listen and don't cry about mediocrity.

  and please, the statement that arr brought mediocrity to tfm is atrocious...Is it the fault of arr that so many useless mds tried to follow his footsteps in vain, jumped into the bandwagon with cheap so-called camouflaged versions of arr and have created this stale phase of tfm.
