So, WHO is doing the music for Thangar Bachchan's next film...?

...titled "Thendral" starring Karthik, produced by Oscar Films V.Ravichandran. Is it Ilayaraja or Vidyasagar? Please let me know. Also, provide a link, if you guys can, where it confirms that Ilayaraja or Vidyasagar is doing the music for Thangar's next film.

  come on u people...Boyz song are targetted for the modern youth...this movie story also emphasis on young modern youth...don't expect ARR to give soft melody tunes / classical tunes for this movie...
  i admit IR will be sitting & thinking how did ARR manage to utilise new musical equipments effectively after hearing BOYS !!

  is not the fact when harris gave minnele many said what arr will be thinking its not right, similarly when music directors like vidyasagar, yuvan, manisharma, bharani gives a hit many icnoclaust believe that their icon did the best but it is in reality he has done only of the bests , it applies to illayaraja also

  Who told ARR is copying?? IR's sons are the best copiers in the world... YSR has atleast some self-respect, KR has none... come on guys wen will u accept IR's days are over and his successor ARR is also completing his stay in Tamil...(he'll move over to Hindi for another round)

  Ok Another ARR-IR bashing mania!
  
  Thangar Bacchaan is a wonderful film-maker. I think he is a an essential catalyst in Tamil Cinema that can break the monotonous flow of commercial perfect hero Vs. rowdy villain movies
  
  His movies have so much more meaning than hero dialogs like "Daaaai naan porikki..." etc.
  
  I dont mean to say those movies are any bad , but I feel we also need someone who gives an Azhagi or Solla Marantha Kathai. If I ever join any director as student it will be Thangar Bachaan or Cheran or Bharathiraja.
  
  Maddy, I hope ARR will team of with Thangar Bacchan. Imagine how it would be if he gave another Kizhakku Cheemayile!
  
  IR gave a super duper music for Azhagi. Fantastic wonderful songs. Every song was heart warming with a folk tinge to them!!
  
  However I feel Thangar Bacchaan wont goto ARR. He himself has said that "If IR was not there God knows what state TFM would have gone to!"

  One observation. Most of the IR fans feel that IR fan club is an exclusive closed one and if you are a member of it, you cant be a fan of any other MD. And they also defend this by saying that once you listen to IR's music, everything else is crappy. Listening and appreciating IR's music is a good thing. But instead of just enjoying IR's music and whatever music you like, when they start to comment on other musicians without logic...thats where the credibility of them goes for a toss. Now, it makes you to start doubting their music knowledge also and what kind of appreciation they have for IR's music itself. Being a die-hard fan of IR is good, but that does not mean that you should undermine the talents of other MDs in this world. IR maybe the best (or like GOD for TB) for you ...but there are millions of other people in this world who would beg to differ.
  
  Anyway, each and everyone in this world is entitled to their own opinion and you too is one of them. But dont forget, it would be JUST YOUR opinion, not mine . Like, this post itself.

  Maddy was relieved they did not team up. I said that it was a good for ARR if he got a Thangar Bacchaan movie.

  Getting back to the topic, I didn't know that Vidyasagar was the one chosen for Thangar Bachchan's "Thendral". I really thought it was Ilayaraja. Oh, well. Vidyasagar is a damn good composer so I will be looking forward to the music of "Thendral". Where can I find more info on this film?

  I wud like to see ARR working with different directors but this Thangar character was really critical about ARR in an KTV interview. this guy is a small upcoming director in Tamil,whereas ARR is an international Music icon, so i couldn't help myself laughing at this clown... probably working with IR ,he also got the Ego that IR has tonnes with him...

  When it comes to arrogance and ego, whats wrong with that man. For your info, one "Self claimed composer" in this forum, in their old thread, even went to the extent, that music is only for selected group (aka those people who agree with him. If required I will c&p the entire thread). Greats like IR or even to the extent saint thyagaraja didnt say music is only for selected group.   This statement from me was to indicate that ARR fans do answer back... U agree or not, IR is an egotist,egotist and egotist... he is a public figure and is bound to be criticised for his attitude... he is not GOD.... Thangar bachan is a "Bachcha" compared to ARR wen it comes to poularity... go to BBC website and confirm this.... u call me a clown u idiots.. u IR fans are the biggest fools in the world.. come out of Tamilnadu and look at the world..   Being a huge IR fan I want to say that IR is great but I agree he has a huge ego. When he was ruling tfm he made statements like tamil people have no option but to listen to his songs.
  
  However I am not bothred about what kind of real world person he is. In that case Kamal is so screewed up but who cares? IR is a legend that walks across this planet once in a amillion years!
  
  ARR too falls in the same league. I am a proud tamilian that two legends in music were born in my tamil land!!!!
  
  MADDY, Thangar is entitled to his own opinion. He has also been very critical of Rajini and said Rajini has spoilt himself by making same kind of commercial movies for his fans. He has his own views. The man wants Rajini to do a 'Bhuvana oru Kelvikuri' or a 'Mullum Malarum' but present day economics of commercial cinema and Rajini's image will not let such things happen. This guy however has his right to say he likes this and not that right??
  
  But I must say he is required for tamil cinema. I am countting on him to be the next Bharathiraja.

  I am kind of new to this site. I feel it's really foolish to compare ARR and IR, as they are not contemporaries. Why don't any one compare IR with MSV or ARR with KV Mahadevan or even Ghantasala....

  hey hold on ambleen, do u know my musical taste?.. b4 1992 i was an IR fan... i still believe that there is no better song than "Malaiyil( sathriyan)" .... but wen it comes to ARR, Tamil audiences critciise him for no reason... u come to Mumbai and see wat people speak abt. ARR... i dunt understand y a Tamilian is liked by Northindians so much and is always criticised by our own Tamils... thats' y i react this way...

  In Mumbai they are listening to junk. ARR's music is aligned in that way as well. That is why they love his music in Mumbai. Take one look at the present Hindi film music and songs and u will sum up with one word....junk! They have one person doing songs and another person doing BGM. Very synthetic. Junk!
  
  Over in Tamil Nadu, ppl let the music flow in their bloodstream. They get goosebumps. TFM evoke tears. TFM unleashes the lyrical beauty from within all of us. These things don't happen in Mumbai. TN ppl are smarter than Mumbaians. That is why ARR never lasted in TN.
  
  Btw, TFM= pre-IR's music + IR's music + and may be KR's music.
