Harris Jayaraj's steps into ARR shoes with Kaaka Kaaka (Formula of reused tunes)

Hey TFM lovers, I hope you haven't forgotten the Magic that Gautam Vasudev Menon and Harris Jayaraj created with Minnale. The same team are giving us another film, Kaaka Kaaka. (Surya, Jothika)

With Gautam Vasudev Menon's Surya, Jothika and Jeevan starrer, Kaaka Kaaka, Harris Jayaraj also steps into A R Rahman's shoes by reusing his self made tunes that he had used earlier Hindi version of Minnale, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.

Remember the Hindi song picturised on Saif Ali Khan in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, Dil ko tumse pyaar hua.... Now that song will have Tamil lyrics and is being picturised on Surya and Jothika in Kaaka Kaaka.

Harris Jayaraj once said that how a tune composed for a particular situation for that particular film can be used for another film, now he himself is using his tune composed in Hindi for a Tamil film which is entirely on a different subject (action). Why do Music Director reuse their previous tunes from other languages to Tamil and vice-versa?

  HJ's music is definitely something. But he hasn't been in the industry long enough for you guys to compare him to ARR. Most of ARR and HJ's songs are fantastic, but we need to wait and see if HJ can rule the industry for more than 10 years like ARR. If HJ can hold for 3 more years , we can say that he is ARR's substitute. Anyway, he was ARR's assisstant after all, he learnt everything from ARR. So you know who's the genius here...
  Ah, never compare these 2 to IR, IR's music is no competition to theirs.

  HJ might b good but the thing is all of his songws keep reminding u of some other track (he does copy but others too no one is original which arr said and accepted but others dont) now i dont know y hj reused tunes from rhtdm for kaka kaka but arr did it due to compulsion from the directors otherwise he's 2 busy engulfed in another project and he finally reuses a tune (he is very busy always in london or being kept rushed by directors) & copming to kaaka kaaka it is not worth all the praises saamy is much better (reminds u of tajmahal) at this pace hj cant be compared to arr he'll turn into an anumalik in 2 or 3yrs but arr has been there for11 years and all of his cassetes were a hit even if u did not like them none of them went bad at the box office even at times like this, saathiya music alone made a profit of around 2crores so arr is there to stay he'll b treated later just like rdburman or the others as he remodelled indian music even though all of his songs havent been copied the techniqu ewhich he introduced r being used by every MDhe is a trend setter.

  Some are very funny here saying that Harrish Jayaraj is copied Rahmans tune, hahah anyone of you were with rahman when he composes the tune and rejected that?.
  
  I agree Rahman is genius but its not mean that all the master pieces only comes from him.

  I could find resemblence of "ulagam..." (Annaamalai serial title song) in "Uyirin uyire".
  I wonder that my friends also saying the same thing.
  Moreover..in Saranam, i could find resemblence of the tune "Internet desamadaa.." from Majnu film's "Raathiri nera medaiyile"(of same Harris...(Thaamadhikkum ovvoru nodiyum.. thavanai muraiyil maranam nigazhum..)

  Surya has finally had the biggest hit in his career. The film had a fantastic opening all over Tamilnadu and has grossed an unbelievable Rs 3.25 crore in its opening weekend (Friday to Sunday) from 106 screens.
  
  The collection of the film has not dropped till Tuesday and according to its producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, the film is likely to gross Rs 5-6 crore in the first week. This means that the distributor will get a share of Rs 2.4 to 2.8 crore!
  
  Said a beaming Thanu: “Kaakha Kaakha is like Kurinji poo that flowers once in 12 years for me! In my 18 years of being a producer, I have never had such a big hit”. According to estimates the film will get a distributors share of Rs 15 crore by the end of six months!
  
  At Devi theatre in Chennai, youngsters are crowding the aisle and dancing to the tunes of “Uyirin Uyire…”, the introductory song in the film. In Mayajaal multiplex, the management was forced to start a late night show due to the crowds for the first time. In Madurai area, the film collected a distributors share of Rs 15 lakhs in three theatres, which is a new record!
  
  Amazing! is the only word to describe the collections of this film. Hats off to Gautam Menon and Surya.

  kaaka kaaka songs are exceptionally good.. as for the kopy kat section mentioned above in some message... god guys... please be a bit more leniant on these music directors... they can use only a hand picked styles... if you say harris has copied from arr then it is equally safe to say arr has picked up songs from some english ones... so guys please dont be this dense...
