A.R.Rahman's WARRIORS OF HEAVEN AND EARTH

A.R.Rahman's Chinese film for Columbia Pictures Warriors of Heaven and Earth will release in October 2003. Columbia Pictures is the same company which produced Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Here's a video showing clips from the movie. The music that is played is from the film, composed by ARR.

  I have been going through postings on newtfmpage for sometime now though I have not voiced my opinions till now.I am an ardent fan of ARRahman...one can term me as hardcore fan too :) From Leo coffee to WOHE....THATS SOME ACHIEVEMENT!! I think the music score is truly international.Im sure given the nature of the movie the music will sound even better coupled with the scenes.I wonder how much of a genius it would take to compose a 'Tamila Tamila'(Roja),'maari mazhai peyaadho'(uzhavan),'kannuku mai azhagu'(pudhiya mugam),'Narumgaiye'(Iruvar),'The magical sax pieces in duet,'Radha Kaise'(lagaan)-----TO TODAY'S---- 'girlfriend'(boys) and ALSO do a 'bombay Dreams' and 'WOHE'.He is THE GENIUS when it Music.

  i just want say something if you u all like a music director, praise him don't tell rubbish words for other music director.
  if you want to say any thing about your music director tell about his works, about his raaga usage in the films and how he handles the instruments and singers.
  leaving them all u guys just telling the wrong about the others.

  Can you folks tell me if ARR had re-hashed any of his old tunes like he did in Bombay Dreams? (Mind you it took him 1 year to re arrange all his old songs for this musical)
  
  If it is just a re hash of old tunes, then I don't want to waste my money. If they are brand new tunes by ARR, then I would love to listen to them. Please let me know

  why are you jumping to conlusions? I can understand chinese very well. I lived in Hong Kong for 10 years, and my wife is Chinese. Besides, I enjoy ARRs Hindi music without understanding the language. So, language is no barrier.
  
  But, old tunes in new CD is a barrier. If you enjoy BD, that's good. I am not telling you, you shouldn't enjoy BD. All I said was I felt cheated.
  
  By the way, how do you know WOHE is all fresh tunes? Did you listen to them? or are you jumping to conclusions again??

  just curios....why u felt cheated...it was well informed in various interviews by ARR that BD gonna have 60% original tunes and 40% reharshed tunes...but then why u still consider it as being cheated?...

  i think understanding chinese is not a factor for us(ARR fans) to grab the CD...i totally know nothing in Chinese..but i am looking forward for the CD...coz the music we are concerned abt..not the meaning of song....(at least for me)
