AVM's "Perazhagan" launched!

AVM’s new film titled Perazhagan was launched on January 26 with a lot of fanfare.
This film is the remake of Kunjikoonan from Malayalam and has Surya and Jyothika in the lead. Sasisankar who had done the Malayalam original directs this film. Said Surya to Sify.com at the launch: “It is one of the most exciting roles that I have ever done. I had seen the original a few times and was impressed by its hero Dileep’s performance”.

Added Jyothika: “I am doing a dual role for the first time- one a blind singer and the other a modern girl and both the roles will give me an opportunity to showcase my talent”.

Perazhagan will be shot in a single schedule and is due for release on May 6. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director and he will be mixing folk music with fast peppy numbers for the film.

  1.Ambuli Mamma -Karthik
  This is not a childish song .It is a song sung by the hero ,probably thinking of the heroine .The percussion is superb and very fresh .the song can be compare dto kaathal website song ,but bit more melodic .The interludes have karthik raaja type of interludes .Very very nice song . 9/10
  
  2.Orae oru piravi -Hariharan
  
  Starts with a nice humming of hariharan followe d by violin strings ,which can be compare dto irave pagale song .The whole song can be compared to that song .Very nice melody ,pathos song 9.5/10
  
  3.Kadhalaku -Pushapanavam kandasamy ,sri vidhya
  starts with a village type ghazal (:))) ,followed by beats of dappanguthu .This song can be compare d to "araputhu aakidchu ' from Mounam pesiyadhae.8/10
  
  4.Oru azhanaga - surya ,ganga ,madhangi
  starts with Kadhal kondain type of theme in piano .I thought this will be beat song .lot of dialogues by surya in this song .then comes a loop beats .7/10 ( different attempt but not be considered as a song )
  
  5.Katru enbatha -shankar mahadevan ,madhangi
  Kind of techno arabic song .Ok kind of song .8.5/10

  Heard Perazhagan. For those of you who are saying that this album sucks, i am sure there is no need for you to post it in every possible thread about YSR.
  Let people make their own decisions on the album. I found the album to be very good. I enjoyed all of the songs, apart from the Pushpavanam Kuppuswamy song. I think the songs will suit Surya and Jyothika very well. After all, director would not have accepted the songs if he was not happy with them.
  Siva, you seem to have the need to post everywhere about this album being bad. Maybe if u took the same time to actually listen to it, you will realise that it is actually a good album.
  
  Friends, Listen to this album, it is very good and I am sure you will like it.
  
  To the unknown who has said that Ramesh Vinayakam is better than YSR, If that is what your ears class as the best, then you go and continue listening to him. The rest of us have some sort of musical taste so let us listen to YSR is peace.

  The album is good. even ethiree is good. it depends on how you see the album. atleast he hasnt suppressed the lyrics like others. all the singers are good in tamil pronounciation unlike adnan sami's kakka valippu pronounciation in ayutha ezhuthu. you have to listen to it one to two times to appreciate the songs.

  hey guys, the songs are good and if listened some more times, will get onto you! I also feel it will become hit songs once seen on screen with the picturisation as this movie is an entertainer and the picturisation will add a lot to these songs! Kadhal Enbatha is fantastic!
