  Regarding 50megs.com-YES they do offer "FTP" file transfer facility and you just need to follow 4 basic rules. That's all.
  But, I don't like their banner ad, which is so bigger than the other servers-hope you have seen it on my site.
  The best thing is you don't have to worry about the copyrights and you can even call files from other servers as well-that is what I like most about them.

  With deep regrets, I wish to inform you that I am doing away with the option to play CONTINUOUS RANDOM PLAY. I am forced to take this decision and some more decisions in future, just to keep things pretty straight. The numbers in my page are only to propagate Isaignani Maestro Ilaiyaraaja's musical prowess. They cannot be a substitute for the original CDs and cassettes. Fans are strongly exhorted to purchase original CDs and cassettes for most of the songs found in my site as well as other webmasters site.
  
  Option to play as you select is permanently withdrawn. No feature enhancements in this direction would be entertained by me.
  
  Please be aware of copyright issues involved, and help Tamil Film Music flourish by purchasing the original CDs and Cassettes. Unless, piracy of audio is stifled in the internet, the very existence of my website is threatened. Please help me and help yourselves by desisting from audio piracy.
  
  After all this website would have given you a very good foresight into Maestro's music. Whether this site is going to exist (well other IR sites as well) is all in your hands.

  1) Future uploads would strictly be RealAudio Files with bitrate <= 20 Kbps.
  
  2) Not even a single MP3 file would be uploaded.
  
  3) Noise removal and file refurbishment would not be given top priority, as many users are substituting my numbers (top quality noise removed numbers) for the cassettes/CDs, as per the complaint I have received.
  
  4) Currently songfiles with bitrate > 20 Kbps will be removed ASAP.
  
  I am very sorry, if these measures should hurt anyone of you personally. I am ready for further clarifications. Kindly do write to ilayaraaja@hotmail.com or isaignani@hotmail.com for further questions.

  Even you upload < 20KBps songs, I feel the quality of your encoding will not change.
  
  Like Rex, I request all the webmasters to inform the fans to buy ACD / Cassette of Maestro. I suggest, the first step is to put few lines in our home pages. Any comments ?

  Yes! I am really not able to divulge all the contents, but that is precisely the reason for temporary suspension of uploads to my site. I am in a dilemma and am at the crossroads. I want to actually see that I am paying heed to the strong feelers sent to me in this regard, at the same time see that I am not over-reacting, as it might affect thousands of fans and a number of webmasters like yourself.
  
  I already do have the disclaimer, but the strong word that I have received is that, it is of no use. Unless, I take some initiation to circumvent this trend of certain fans, the very existence of my website as well as a host of other IR websites over the web is threatened.
  
  I sincerely request almost all the fans visiting our pages as well as this thread to take my request very seriously. I am one of the persons to have great admiration and senti attached to my own site. It has helped 1000s of fans enjoy IR's rarest of the rare numbers. Since copyrights issues have been brought up to my attention, I am compelled to initiate certain measures so that none of us are in a state of quandary.
  
  Please do purchase Audio CDs and Cassettes of Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and treat our websites just for sampling purposes. Do not be just content with the songs published in our websites.

  I want to know if anybody has listened to song-"margazhi paarvai paarkava,tamarai kaigal serkava".This is from a film called Uyire unakaaga-not the one produced by kovaithambi.
  this was supposed to be a prabhu starrer-somewhere in 84 or 85-biut the project never took off and subsequently the name was acquired by KT .
  this an absolutely brilliant song -it makes you run out and find some one to fall in love as quickly as possible!
  Anothersong is "vizhiyile,mani vizhiyil mouna mozhi pesum annam" from nooravadhu naal.

  Rex, That's indeed a very good initiative towards a very good cause and I boldly second you in this issue. You are doing a very good job need not feel sad about it.I know many of the sincere IR fans mainly like university students who may not have access to Maestro's rare collections will be disappointed, then we need to just think about the whole story if one time or other if all of us put entire 4000 or more numbers of Maestro on web then no one is even going to bother or think about buying Maestro's CDs or cassettes, so what we thought we are doing good to our Maestro will turn out against him over the coming days. More over it is simply certain internet sites who are going to make cheap commercials out of the uploads we do by pirating them and make use for their own benefits. This has happened in the past and will continue to happen unless otherwise we take some bold initiatives like yours. I really appreciate you and I am also going to work on that directions. Let us start to upload song samples instead of songs. Dear IR fans worldwide I know every one of you understand the gravity of the issue and your sincere co-operation is very much appreciated.
