thank you so much! I have done some experimentation in recording 'engE nimmathi' with cool edit's echo and reverb functionalities. The effect sounds good! I will upload this song tonight or tomorrow.

ramki,
i developed my page using MS internet explorer 4.0 I am not sure which object of the page is jumbled when you use netscape. Could you please tell me whether it is the image (GIF) or Scroll area or Text that is jumbled? Could you also tell me which page (whether it is index page or part I or part II). If you want to send me an word (.doc) document in which you can do a cut and paste of the page jumbled , i can look into it. You can do "print Scrn" of the web page by being in your browser and then open a word document and do a "paste" . You can send me an email attachment.

do you think it could be tape hiss that should be removed. Because, TMS's high pitch and the explosive violins are indeed jarring at few places. BTW, have you completed your weekend upload?

connection has been slow here. I felt there
were some hiss sounds at a couple of places.
I will listen to it again and get back with
the exact locations. Since I will be busy I

SK thanks a lot for 'neeyo naano'. What a song!.Wonderful tune and great voice of JR,PS and PBS. This should be one of the few times when the
singers(PBS) were chosen to suit the mood of the song rather than the actors. NO wonder MSV is known as mellisai mannar-an apt title.

Yes, it is by Kannadhasan. I agree with you about
the choice of PBS. While AMR could also have been
chosen, I think that was a period when MSV was
trying to promote PBS in a big way!

I forgot to add.. One of the special features of
this song is that in many many words the swaras
sharply change within a word itself, giving a
special effect (especially in the parts sung by
the ladies.)

SK if its kannadasan then i feel he could have done better. I think PBS voice adds more softness and a slight gambeeram touch to the song(which could be missing in AMRs voice). Yes i noticed the change in swaras(it happens right in the pallavi)

SK i have one more request for you. There is a wonderful sad thalattu song in 'sivagangai seemai' sung by JR for MNRajam. I dont remember the starting line but when i watched that film i really loved that song. Do you have any idea what this song could be?If you happen to have this in your collection kindly upload it along with 'kanavukanden naan kanavukanden'(sad version)from the same film.

your problem should have been solved now. I used communicator 4.6 to test. You may upgrade your browser to 4.6 by shareware download. Please let me know if you still have problems.

to. I will ask my sister whether she has that
song. About the kanavu kaNdEn song.. I
thought there was only one (happy) version. I will

Yes I am getting a hiss which starts about 10
secs before TMS starts singing and goes on in
patches in the beginning part for some time.
Otherwise the recording is good. Did you take
the song from a CD?

SK no this is the happy version. The one i requested is a female solo and will be sung by baby kamala when SSR goes to the battlefield.

Btw 'thulli thulli alaigal' koodai Ilaiyarajakku romba pidichirkkanum as i just realised that he used the exact tune for a PS solo in 'en purushan thaan enakku mattum thaan' picturised on Suhasini(indha songoda first line thondaiyile irukku veliya varamattengudhu)
