Hi! We've made a major addition to newtfmpage, and that is a big song bank. Dhool features thousands of songs for your listening pleasure. This site is a part of the newtfmpage.com - swara.com group. Together with newtfmpage, we wish to make this the best place to listen to tamil film songs online and know about tamil film music. Our collection includes old, new, famous, rare and unheard of songs. We are still fine tuning and fixing the database errors, so please bear with us. We value your feedback, and this will help us build the site better. Please post your comments below or mail to comments@newtfmpage.com.

  Is it possible to upload the ThenKinnam program of V.Kumar? That used to be a Nostalgic Thursdays (was it first thursday of the month?)
  
  Also by any chance do anyone have the recording of the songs-rating program that was broadcasted in Vividh Bharathi in 1979. The first week had the new songs (1978-79) with My name is Billa (1), Aha Vandhiruchu (2) and Azhagiya Kanne (3). The following 2 weeks had old songs and then it stopped after that. Saravanan, any chance of that program in a recorded format

  Heard "yaar thoorigai" just once in Kovai vanoli nilayam many years back and got instantly captivated by the catchy pallavi.Thanks for those who resurrected this obscure song in "Yedho ninaivugal" thread and realized it in SOTD thread.

  I cannot escape the feeling that I find the start of "yaar thoorigai thandha Oviyam" very close to "vanithamani vanamohini vandhaadu". Both are classics.

  Bala, we have planned it in such a way the we'll be featuring the siRappu thEnkiNNam in full, but in instalments--whenever we come to a particular song which Kumar had spoken of, we'll add Kumar's introduction to that song.

  saami, no one has probably heard of Oyer!! Could it be "uyir"? payaNam starred Vijayakumar, Jeyachitra and a host of other characters.
  
  "varuvEn nAn" is a drowsy melancholic delight. Somehow it always felt like a Telungu song dubbed in Thamizh, especially with AMR doing his best Gantasala imitation (unintentionally I'm sure).

  On Yaar thoorigai : From Paaru Paaru pattinam paaru.
  Hero is Mike Mohan, Heroine is Mudhal mariyadhai fame Ranjani. The movie came some where in the late 80's. The story revolves around mohan and his family who are crazy about astrology and do anything and everything consulting the josyakkaran.The trials and tribulations and some hilarious situations due to this made up this movie. The movie sank without a trace as it was delayed very much and this lilting song never got its due.
