  KANGALAL KAITHU SEI BY AR REHMAN
  
  
  1) Azhagiya cindrella - Hariharan
  
  Nice Piece of Voice modulations from Hariharan.
  Hariharan goes on to leave on very long lasting impressions with this unique style of singing.
  The Sax Interlude and the female chorus are simply made for each other.
  
  2)Aha Thamizhamma - A.R.Rehana,Mathangi,Blaaze
  
  Starts very similar to a Boys song. But suddenly the theme starts sounding the Bharathiyar song 'Senthamizh nadenum podile'!. What a twist!. Chanting Tamil alpahabets 'A, Aa, I, Ee...' is a nice choice and fresh thought!
  
  3) Enuyir Tozhiyea - UnniMennon & Chinmayi
  
  I dont beleive how Unni Menons Voice starts sounding younger and younger even from the last movie - Unakku 18 Enakku 20. Chinmayi's initial humming reminds me the almighty Nityashree. In fact the very idea of starting her with Hum sounds innovative. Have anyone done this before?. Another Jewel in ARRs Crown.
  
  4) Theekuruvi - Mukesh,Johny,Harini
  The song starts very much uncharacteristic of ARR. Then Harini starts 'Theekuruvi' really FAST as the thalam is challenging fast. Here comes new male voice to TFM - Mukesh. He sounds like a wonderful combination of Srinivas, Unni Krishnan and Karthik. Then to pacify things there goes a nice Flute interlude. So soothing! Harini alabanai's and later the same in Mandolin are just wonderful. Not long ago, ARR had Unni krishnan do a alabanai in Parasuram song 'Mupadu nimidam' and they are just great. And as if all is not enough, the song is garnished with Johny singing 'ethoma'. Amazing stuff from ARR.
  
  5) Anarkali - Karthick,Chitrasivaraman,Kadhir,Murdasha
  The song starts like a Hindustani Gazal and tabala throughout songs sustains the Gazal impression. Chitra Sivaraman and Karthik Pair does another 'Ale Ale' fresh from Boys.
  
  Undoubtably the best Album of the year, the year that was largely dominated by Vidyasagar. Did ARR save his best melodies for the year end?

  CD inlay cards do come with the most notorious of typos. I think the "Kadhir, Murdasha" is really Qadir (Qadir Ghulam Mustafa) and Murtuza (Murtuza Ghulam Mustafa). They sang "Piya Haji Ali" with ARR in Fiza, as well as the "Doston se jhoothi moothi" portions of "Chupke Se" in Saathiya (What Srinivas sang in "Snegidhane" from Alai Paayudhe.) It sure sounds like them.

  when i first saw te trailors of the movie i was not impressed. It was not sounding good nor looking good. So was not interested to listen to songs when it released. But when i heard it finally i was pleasently shocked. Its real good. Much better than anything we heard in tamil this year. Very good music and ARR seems to have have hit jackpot again. very innovative "aa ee oo au" in aha tamizhamma is damn cool. even other songs are lovely. a cokkectors item. go ahead and buy it ..wont repent it.

  Whatever the fate of the movie is... IMO it is by far the best tamil album that come out this year. Wonderful soulful music with the distinctive ARR genius in all the songs. For example the delayed out of tempo yedho maa chant in Theekuruvil song.
  
  Nobody in TFM is capable of conceptalising such out-of-tempo stuff to be synthesized into the song and produce an even better effect.
  
  It is an understaytemnt to say that I am fully satisfied.

  Only two songs are listenable. Yedho Maa chant is so stupid and irritating. Am supprised even such thrash sounds good to some listeners...what amazement. His beats are off tempo and work seems poor effort. The past three releases by ARR are all about the same thrash except for one or two songs in each album. How to call him world class. It started in Parasuram Kathakkali. People or rather some blind to music knowledge and taste are still praising him so much. Why
