  Ramki, do you mean ‘alek’ Nirmala w/o Telugu hero Krishna? Definitely not. VN directed one Tamil film called Kunguma kolam, in which she was the heroine paired with Vijayakumar. May be few more films too...

  All songs from Karnan viz. Kannukku kulamethu..., Ennuyir thozhi....., Manjalittu....., are masterpieces. Not to leave the duets Iravam nilavum...., maharajan ulagai aalalam.
  The youngsters choose these songs when it comes to competition and prove their talents. The song Ennuyir thozhi was sung by the finalist in Raagamalika. Kangal enge was song by another student in one of the concerts by school children which was presided by PS.

  Hey Guys,
  I was extremely happy to note that this website has been started in honor of the great PS. I am a great fan of hers.She is definitely the best and deserves nothing short of Bharath Rathna. Maybe, all her fans should start an internet campaign and prevail upon the President Abdul Kalam (may be he is her fan too !) to honor the award by giving it to PS.

  How about "Neeyaaga Enai Thedi Varugindra Neram; Ore BODHAIYIL ennangaloorum Raajaa" from Edhirigal Jaakkiradhai. Simply guessing it from the lyrics in the Pallavi and some saranams. Have not seen the song / movie.

  With JJ and Chandrababu Naidu at prime positions in TN and AP, I do not know why it is not possible. May be they were not brought to attention. As PS fans, we should initiate efforts to bring this in to their agenda and hope to fetch PS the award next time around.

  As expressed by Thenraj, I am also terribly disappointed that PS has not been awarded even a Padmashri, till now.Not that it matters really. She is a supreme artist, who is above all these material awards and gifts.However, I feel that as fans, we should all try and get her the award (Bharat Rathna, folks, nothing less) she truly deserves.Can you think of some way we can represent this case to JJ, Naidu or even Abdul Kalam ?

  Ani idea about the total number of songs sung by PS? We all know she herself did not keep track of this number. Any guesses or estimates? Lata is supposed to have sung 25000 songs or so. I am sure PS should have sung more than that.As usual, PS has been modest about her achievements.

  MSV-TKR together scored music for 15 MGR movies. MSV alone scored music for 36 MGR movies. Can we start discuss about PS songs under MSV-TKR combination in MGR movies?
  Genova, kulebhahavali, mahadevi, mannadhi mannan, paasam, panaththottam, periya idathuppenn, aanandha jyothi, en kadamai, panakara kudumbam, deivaththai, padagotti, enga veetuppillai, panam padaithavan& Ayirathil oruvan are the movies in MGR & MSV-TKR combination.
  In the above Genova & kulebahavali dont have PS songs, i think.
