"Actor Mohan Babu, who has already established Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions near Tirupati is now in plans to set up a Music University at the same place. Music Maestro Ilayaraja also joins Mohanbabu for this project."

It is to be noted that IR placed a request to Kalignar at launch of "Uliyin Osai" to set up a music university in TN to preserve traditional music and cultural values, for which he too agreed !! Not sure whether this project would take off !!

"Music maestro Ilayaraja is all set to start the first music university at Tirupati in collaboration with collection King Dr M Mohanbabu. Mohanbabu already runs Sri Vidyanikethan educational institutions in Tirupati.

We hear Ilayaraja and Mohanbabu share a close friendship and hence the actor proposed a university dedicated to music at Tirupati with Ilayaraja as its head.

He infact spent his own money, flew down his core team to Tirupati for my dad's last birthday and performed his favourite hit tracks at our school. மியூசிக்கை பொறுத்தவரை எனக்கு இளையராஜா சார்தான் கடவுள். அவர் முன்னாடி வாசிச்சு, அவர் கையால பொன்னாடையும் வாங்கிட்டேன். இன்னும் அவர் மியூசிக்ல வாசிக்கிற கனவு மிச்சமிருக்கு... காத்திட்டிருக்கேன்....” – ஆசையைச் சொல்கிறார் ஆலாப்.
