It is Mammootty's version of Drishyam but slightly less engaging. The comparison to Drishyam becomes inevitable because of the plot and presentation though here the female lead (Nayanthara) has a bigger role to play.
For Mammootty this role is piece of cake and he does it with utmost ease. After giving a stunning performance as Narayanankutty in Pathemari, this looks like his method of taking a breather. Nayanthara continues her fine form and the pair may well become a successful one in the trade circles too..
If only the director had concentrated on the screenplay, the film would've become a milestone film like Drishyam. But still, it is laudable for the novel attempt and the performances of the leads.
