There was a buzz in the industry that AR Rahman has set up a production company called Y M Movies. Rahman never officially confirmed the news and it was even dismissed as a rumour. But now TOI has details of his maiden venture as a producer.

AR Rahman to produce Hindi film

The film will go on floors this year and it will be made in Hindi. Rahman has written the story in collaboration with a team of international and local talents. The director and the cast are yet to be finalised.

The film will be coproduced by Y M Movies and Eros International. A deal was struck between the two on Friday afternoon.

No prizes for guessing, Rahman will compose the music of the film.

Coke Studio - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coke_Studio_(India) , he's done a total of 7 songs I think. This season's episodes haven't started yet, they have just released a couple of songs to generate interest I guess.
