I am planning to have a goodd Pic of Raja in my living room.... I need a pic which is Nice (with a Piano, Harmonium..) and that of good quality (Pixel) so that I can blow it up..... Thank You

It was much later that I learnt that IR refused the film because it was under the KB banner.

yes the rift with KB was when the bgm score schedule of PuthuPuthuArthangal got delayed form Raja side due to more projects in hand and KB managed to complete it without Raja. Raja got pissed off and decided not to associate with KB in future.

there is no minimum standard rate for a film music composing!
If Raja can afford to do the projects cheaper, confident he can meet the time, music needs & efforts to satisfy the producers, directors approach him and they are happy about the services for the project , then that's it!
Nobody can sue!
all the vayathericha fellows can only bad-mouth,
well, the man's works speak the glory!

Indeed, if he does not compromise on his rate, small producers would never be able to afford him. I would only be concerned about the musicians, whether they were affected by this. I tend to doubt it as people like Purushottaman or Arun Mouli have worked with him for years and years.

In film industry, an artist starts losing work to others when public tastes change. That happened in IR's case in the 90s. Anyway, this vayatherichal is all contradictory. Rajnikanth applied communist logic to say IR was overpaid in the 80s. According to Rajni, IR was just sitting nicely in A/c studio and getting paid more while he had to sweat it out in the heat for his shots. Great! And now, it seems he adjusted his rate to kill competition. Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

I know the composition for a decade+
but... only recently have learned VALLI is by Rajini!
That's the power of Film music!
Ilayaraja is powerful with his kind of music!
People can enjoy and celebrate music without knowing any detail about composers, singers and lyricists!
Thalai, Kaal, Vaal etc.. come and go, different aaraththi goshtee have different idols!
But these compositions are here to stay!
