Let me visit the korean super market for next week shopping during the weekend. I never new Malaysian Korean Chinese had these many varieties before coming to this forum. I just knew their sticky rice cake which they sell in the chinese markets also their stuffed steamed buns.

Sangeetha you can use the white colour sweet potato too.
Normally here they use the white colour sweet potato and add little red colouring to the outer skin.
The angkoo kuih would be red in colour . You do not need a mould.

Have you tried the mochi in Korean supermarkets?
It will be something like that. Thanks, Kugan

Thanks Tamby for your nice post.

Tamby do you want the Sri Langkan style seeni sambol , or our Malaysian style of sambal.
I think both can be done using soya chunks.
Anyway Malaysian style will be tastier

    Thanks
