We are happy to inform you that we are making all arrangements to launch the channel as soon as the formalities are all tied up.

As they say 'The best things in life are worth waiting for'. So wait and watch out for SUNWORLDTV, The test signals are underway, We will be on air soon.

A lot of you have requested that we use the platforms used by Zee and Sony as you have these connection already or plan to take these connections.

Much as we understand your problems with regards to having to purchase an extra satellite dish, which would, not only mean extra costs but also extra space. We must inform you that the DirectTV network and Dish Network are not enthusiastic about starting another Indian channel.

They do not believe that the South Indian community is large enough to take up that kind of programming. They are reluctantly committing approximately 4 hours of programs for all the four languages, which is not sufficient at all.

Our plan is to start as a 24-hour channel for the four languages together first and then slowly move to having 24 hour programming for each language. To do this we need to get on a platform, which is open to such expansions.

The Japanese channel comes on a platform which does not have too many channels but the Japanese people in the USA have supported the platform and proved that what is important is not the platform but the program that they want to see.

We hope that the South Indians in the USA and Canada will also take the Japanese approach and look at the program and not the platform. We are in the process of striking a deal with 'Telstar' and we are also negotiating a good deal with the satellite dish agents to give us a good deal on the dish or absorb a part of the dish cost. With regards to the subscription fee we are looking at a upper point of US$ 19.99 per month.

We hope to keep updating you very regularly as we make progress on various activities.

  I will strongly suggest you ask questions prior to purchasing it. What if this happens and that hpappens??

  YOur friend's wife has to commended for making such a move. I have not lost my money yet as i have filed a dispute for these charges w/ my credit card. The initial 250/= and an additional 35/=monthly charge. My credit card company is going to do the needful. They had the nerve to charge the monthly charge onto my credit card after they realized that i wasn't going to pay them. I wish that prakash naidu rots and dies somewhere for cheating his fellow indians in a foreign country. I know it is very crude but obviously that jackass had no sympathy or concern for me when i had to make all those calls to canada to vent out my frustration. All this in regards to the product he had sent to me. We were all lured into his tactics. I will also join this venture in bringing this ignorant desi to trial.

  I am thinking of sending an email/letter to our CM Kalaignar/ Mayor Stalin. Both are very efficient. May be they will help us get our money back. I am sure they won't happy with these people(surya and co in canada) who are spoiling sun TV's name. Does any of you know any contact person in DMK? (any youth wing leader can help in bringing this matter to the CM's/Mayor's attention)

  Yes Murasoli maran is the person who owns suntv. He was even awarded for having an excellent program such as suntv in tamilnadu. Wonder if he knows this is going on. It is because of him that suntv came abroad as well.

  These days it is not even TRT programs. They seem to be telecasting programs from TVT (TV Tamil) which was originally aired on ATN's first channel from 4 to 6 in the evenings. These look like recordings from TVT!!!
  
  I would not even be surprised if in another 10 days ATN shuts down its second channel!! Watch out...

  Oh dear, i didn't you you guys out there are having so much trouble with SUNTv .. here in Singapore, its available to everyone who subscribes to cable vision and transmission is on 24 hours a day (sometimes there are satellite problems). Otherwise, its perfectly fine - Maybe you could bring it up in your case/argument that if SUNTV can be provided efficiently in Singapore, why not in other countries?
