There are several songs that have non-Tamil content in TFM. This is a listing exercise aimed at cataloguing these songs.
I would like to concentrate on songs that have a heavy input of these languages rather than a couple of words in other languages. In other words, Sundari Neeyum is good; Maatthadu Maatthadu Mallige does not qualify.

The song Rukku Rukku rukku in AS has a lot of English words that it sounds almost like a english song in a carnatic tune.

hmmm...there are many poor souls here who have been tormented:-)))
one 'sexy' number that i recollect now is my dear young lover, naan oru sunflower, vaaduthe then malar, kaaranam love fever, neeyum kooda bachelor from jhansi rani, one of those motcham morning show movies. sun tv has shown it so often in the Adullss Only programme that it has become a national hit.

Anjali: `vEgham vEgham pOgum pOgum MAGIC JOURNEY' (another Usha Uthup number)
avar enakkE sontham: surAngani...(what language is this, is it Sinhalese?)
There's one thuLLal SPB song & I don't remember the film or the beginning of the song, but the following portion is in the body & repeated:
ayAyO what can I do?
Tell me what to do...
amAmO what can I do..
I am mad after you!
kokkarakkokkO kow kow, kokkarakkokkO kow kow
kOw! kOw! kOw!
Does `paranthAlum vida mAttEn' (Guru) qualify? I'm not able to catch any of those English words that SJ speaks...SPB too talks similarly...

RV,
I was thinking of "One Two Chachacha" from "Nalladhoru Kudumbam" when I wrote "I'll sing for you". Somehow both those songs got mixed in my mind. Thanks for the correction.

Hi RV, pesi romba naalchu ille? :-))
Here are the actual lyrics for the Priya song:
(I must add that the grammer, besides the pronunciation, is atrocious)
Hati aku suka awak (My heart likes you)
Lalu aku cinta awak (Then I fell in love with you)
Saya pandang diri mu (When I look at you)
Berhari-hari hidupkan (I live for many days)
Eden - the ayayo what I can I do part is from the same song mentioned earlier On a hot summer morning.
In fact I remember quite a bit from this song:-))
En kaiyi romba raasi nee thottu paaru Rosie
Mella mella pazhagi vanthaal kaathal varum easy
Oorai suththum Baama ......
Unakkum enakkum poruththam undu mudichu poadalamaa

English lyrics in Naan endraal athu avalum naanum:
Yeah the whole truth, and nothing but the truth
In thought, word and deed
Such a noble heart
There he goes again
God bless me
Remember what happened to her (in ref. to Seetha)
Yes always yours sincerely
Oh really? Don't make me blush.
The better half and the bitter half
In Keittu koadi urumi melam:
We shall meet at the garden gate
In the morning evening night till the dawn
We shall meet, be together
In the morning evening night till the dawn
(also intermittent use of "uncle" and "jungle" :-))
In Kalyaanam katcheri:
Oh marriage, marriage, marriage
Take it easy
People are so crazy
In Thavaputhalvan
Love is fine darling when you are mine
No sun no shine like summer rain
Without you my dear life is pain
With you darling all is fine
It is always green as a dream
Sweet ice cream, oh my queeen
Come back, hold me tight baby
I feel so ligt
My eyes are turniung bright
Yeah.. and all is right
Well folks times are changing
And so are fashions
Sleeveless blouses
What net? Blouseless sleeves?
Life is funny
So full and sunny
And my heart goes tiny
I think I have used up my quota! :-))

Andhap Pakkam Vazhndavan Romeo, ABC Nee Vasi, Hello Doctor, Padippule Zero, Eeswara, Telephone Mani Pol - do all these songs have lot of English?
Udhaya: Idhu enna aniyayam, Manidharul Manikkam padam 3 peru patthirukkome? Naan mattumdhan velai illadha manidhan endru ninicchene! ;-)
One Hottu Summeru Morning - Somebody, please upload the song here!
Nov: The impetus came from certain remarks on another thread - "Brahmin Dialect Songs." I came to the conclusion that I am missing too much! Also, my daughter is nearly two now and things are a little easier! Nice to see some of the old gang still around!

nobody has mentioned the song 'alps malai katru vanthu' from the movie thetinen vanthathu starring prabhu and mantra, this song is like a encycleopedia(spelling mistake) which tells the interesting places in the world(remember is is said it in english)

If we're really digging for trash, I remember some more:
-Fair and lovely face cut-uu, pineapple jacket-uu kitta vandhu thottu paaththaa lubbu dubbu lubbu dubbu lubbu dubbu (DEVA's song)
-Mera naam abdul rahamaan mera naam abdul rahamaan (MGR's movie, MSV)
-Mera naam abdullaah aavo priya rasagullaah, aavo priya aavo, priya aavo aavo (IR, Sattam En Kayil?)
I can't think of the start of this song (thankfully) but it's from "Baatchaa"...Touch-u Touch-u Touch-u enna touch-u nee, kiss-u kiss-u kiss-u enna kiss-u nee...aahaa killing two languages in one song.
RV,
I know, "Manidharil Maanickam" is on my top ten worst movies of all time. Easily Sivaji's worst (worst that I have seen, of course I missed the masterpiece, "Lorry driver Raajkannu")

Some more :
Dheem thanakku dheem mera naam (MD : CB, "Annanagar mudhal theru"),
Dil bhar jaane (MD : IR, "Kalaignan"),
Achcha achcha pachacha kiLi (MD : IR, "Nethu rathiri amma" from Sakalakala vallavan")
had Hindi words strewn atrociously in the song.
I think Vaali was guilty of penning both of them.
In fact, I find that songs like these have some
random words (like Abdullah, Rasagulla, etc.)
that make no sense to anyone at all. So, effectively, they serve to murder all languages concerned.
In that sense, Sundari neeyum had words more relevant to the context (even if some of them were Malayalam-ish) than those mentioned above.

Another thing I noticed was that before the current "thanglish" syndrome set in, most of the "Deewana", "Sunflower" kind of songs were sung for some vampish or cabaret situations, usually involving some weird-looking villain/vamp (eg Arab, Blonde, etc.), usually in some old-fashioned disco in eastman colour.

another irritating and unbearable thanglish song is "mercury pookal" from the film ratchakan starring nagarjuna and sushmita sen, the reasing why iam saying this is 1. the voice of anupama and 2. the music of arr which sometimes overrides the lyrics. The saddest part is this song is written by vali

Raja I love you, Ramu I love you -
is another unique song - (oh,
no it is not a gay song, it is a
friendship song).
It has poetic distinction between
various friendships:
I guess one guy is poor and sings:
Kannanidam kuselan kanda sugam.
(meaning he is at the receiving end)
The rich guy immediately corrects:
Illai, Illai,
Kambanidam chozhan kanda sugam.
(meaning he is the real beneficiary!)
I liked the way MSV cleverly added the
illai, illai into the song tune,
without it it would not be as effective.
It is a rare TMS-KJY combo! I have not seen
the movie, but can imagine, Sivaji and
gemini or muthuraman!

udhaya, LOL:-))
i might have seen manidharul manickam. if u can bring yourself to delineate the storyline, i might recall it. let's see if it compares with Lorry Driver Rajakannu, whose first half hour i had the misfortune to watch.
so far, we have completely ignored songs such as Janani Janani, Nadhiyil Aadum Poovanam, Kaadhal Oviam Paadum Kaaviyam, all of which have heavy Sanskrit content.
can we also include numbers high on gibberish, especially the SPB variety of rababibabababa bah thagathagathagathaga thathaththaaaa, etc? i think TR committed the original sin, and SPB has murdered many a song with this nonsense.

Before I forget, some more classics:
Metro Channel munna paaru,
White-u Leggaan kozhi onnu
an old one from my schooldays:
Idhala kudhala madhala mEni vandhadhu. I'm serious, this song does exist
