  I just happened to see the song "minsara kanna" and I'm very diappointed to find it sound like a dubbing film song with no character co-ordination. IMO this song should've been tried out for some other actor or atleast the voices of sreeni & nithyasree should not have been used. Any second opinions.

  Umm .. i didn't really think Jodi sucked in all aspects - Prashanth's acting and expressions in most parts of the movie was appropriate ... the story wasn't fantastic but it wasn't THAT bad either ...
  The "Anjaathe Jeeva song" - the voice didn't suit Prashanth's face ... it somehow sounded more like a ghaana song ... but still nothing THAT sucky about it as you mentioned ... And anyway, before calling someone's creation "crap" and "suck(y)", maybe you can point out the mistakes and provide alternatives, if it affected you that much to make such a posting (Of course, no offence intended)

  Jodi was good movie !!!
  
  There are three movies released with the same plot so far (lovers go to each others home to impress their parents)
  1. poovellaam kEttu paar
  2. minsaara kannaa
  3. jodi
  
  I think, JOdi was much better than the other two movies. The screen play (especially the second half) and the turning points to keep the movie watchers in suspense is very good. Great music too. Prasanth's stunt was good. Ananda Vikatan has given 40/100 for this movie (which means ABOVE AVERAGE).
  
  The voice of 'anjaadhE jeevaa' song is not new. It is none other than Seergaazhi Siva Chidambaram ! ;-)))
  
  The director of the movie - Praveen Kanth (I guess that is his name :) comes in that movie in three scenes. Can somebody guess who it is ?

  Praveen Gandhi - The guy who directed "Ratchagan". His comments about "Ratchagan": Technically innovative movie....

  Madhu Balakrishnan:
  
  An excellent singer who has come to TFM. Going by his accent, I guess he is a "palghat iyer" :-) The song "ethilum ingu iruppaan avan yaarO " from Bhaarathi set to the raga "rasikaranjani" has been beautifully rendered by him. I did not realize that it was Madhu Balakrishnan and was presuming that it was KJY. His style is EXACTLY KJY's. The difference between him and KJY is that with KJY, you can hear the Bass(in voice) even in the high notes. But with Madhu, you dont hear that much Bass. The song and his voice just make you feel as if you are slowly gulping a piece of ice cream. The raga itself is a rare one and there are probably just three songs in it.
  One is "azage thamize azagiya moziyE" from "kOvilpuraa", " neelakkuyilE unnOdu naan paN paaduvEn" from "magudi" and " ethilum ingu iruppaan avan yaarO" from "bhaarathi".
  
  Another song which Madhu has sung in the same album is "Vandhe Maatharam jaya vandhE maatharam". It is in this song that his mallu accent comes to the fore :-) There is not much gap between the successive words and his accent is pronounced.
  
  Going by the way he has sung, I think he is definitely miles ahead of HH in pronunication, and of UK in the non-nasal tonal quality. If Shankar Mahadhevan and Madhu Balakrishnan set their feet strong in TFM, it would be a great. After all atleast the void left by KJY is filled with Madhu. The void left by PSB is still there. Shankar Mahaadhevan though has a style of his own.

  You're absolutely right.
  Madhu is the best thing to have happened to TFM of late. He is leagues ahead of Hariharan in pronunciation and giving lot of weight while handling words (Nunippul Meyara velai illai avaridam)
  Madhu has been completely sidelined in the reports/reviews of Bharati. Harish Raghavender was the only one that was written about. I guess both made their debuts with this score.
  
  IMO, it's Madhu's number, 'Edhilum Ingu' that's the best song of the album (ironically set to non-bharati lyrics ... Pulamaipithan's poetry is just awesome. Award-winning lyrics.
  
  Heres looking forward to more of Madhu's numbers.

  i heard the tamizhan snippet.
  Was AWFUL.a few ppl might like it.Well i dont.
  cos it has the typical teen formula written all over it.
  why does every new MD hav to try to copy ARR.
  lots of singers, heavy metal,western influence, singers with no knowledge of tamil,bad lyrics or worse lyrics drowned by heavy unwanted orchestration, the pattern keeps repeating with every movie.
  why doesnt anyone try something different..with softer music and please, singers whoknow tamil !
  Tamizhan..is yet another belonging to the pack, or so it seems from the sample.
  hope the rest of the songs are different..for the sake of TFM.

  PBalram.Dont know much about his voice..but AR Rehman had showed the tremendous work of him again by introducing this guy into Tamil film world.To be honest,Balram really made me craze of his voice,really waiting for his upcoming songs in Tamil movie and wish only to listen when composed by AR Rehman as others are sucks in make a singer to sing.Hats off PBalram and off course its all because of AR Rehman.
